    In this video I am demonstrating the Trick Drums Pro 1-V Single Short Board Kick Drum Pedal. This is a high tech, almost futuristic looking pedal that feels really good to play. All of the high tech features actually just make the pedal easier to use and adjust. When Trick Drums say that they have reinvented the kick drum pedal they really mean it. Precision-machined parts, aerospace-grade bearings, and an internal compression-spring mechanism make this one smooth feeling pedal that brings the power when you need it.
    There are many highlights to this pedal. First off is the internal compression-spring mechanism. A small spring inside the housing to left of the beater is adjustable by a single big knob and helps propel the beater forward on every stroke. The Split-Cam design allows adjustment of beater and pedal angles independently plus you can easily adjust the stroke length to fit your feel. The telescoping beater is independent from the shaft and can be placed to hit the center of any size kick drum. The Slide-Trac hoop clamp adjustment gets the pedal in the right spot every time and the ultra-simple hoop clamp lever saves you setup time and aggravation with no tightening of a wing-nut under or to the side of the pedal board.
    Do yourself a favor and check out the Trick Drums Pro 1-V Single Short Board Bass Drum Pedal. It could be just what your feet having been asking for. Thanks for watching!

    I've got both the Long and short boards [double pedals]. I've had them for over twelve years now with absolutely no breakage or worn parts. This includes touring and multiple shows. Not only are they still solid as the day they were shipped, they still hold true to the notes I'm playing. When I got together with J.T. at Trick it was because Axis left me high and dry on a brand new set of pedals that broke the first show They were used. That's right, they wouldn't honor their own warrantee which caused us to miss a show. I contacted Trick Drums and they put me right through to J.T. himself. He overnighted my longboards and I've never looked back since. In short, I've tried them ALL, from Camco to Axis and none compare in reliability and craftsmanship of the Trick Drums products. Just my two cents...

      Hey man! do you play metal and speed double bass? or a less "specialized" music? Asking because I am trying to find information for this pedals outside the metal community, how do they perform on single notes in pop music and such? I am aware of the workhorse pedals like the iron cobra, pearl eliminator and dw 5000 - 9000 but I want a good size long board because I have big foot (haha) and only the metal-speed oriented pedals seem to have them, or great pedals like the demon drive but ... with a really short board even when long board setting.

      @@jamesnikki5 I've used my long board pedals for everything from country music to thrash metal and they performed well on all occasions. The best part about the long boards is once you have them dialed in, you can play any genre of music.

    I have the double and single direct drives. For the most part they are amazing. The main thing I don't like is the way it clamps on the hoop. It's a spring and you have to somehow squeeze the clamp arm down to open it enough to get onto the hoop. That is a real pain to do while you are trying to mount this thing when your drums are set up. I like the DW method with the large wing nut much better. Other than that, this pedal is super fast and well made. I would like to see them change that clamp situation.

    • @sickdrummer3831
      @sickdrummer3831 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jim S. DWDD has the best hoop clamp. I love it. And it’s self centering and both sides of the clamp has the soft rubber for not scaring the hoop. Nd self adjusting beater is brilliant

    • @stevenutter3614
      @stevenutter3614 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know what you mean. It's almost too strong of a clamp. Try picking up your drum and clamping it on mid air, and lowering it all back down so it goes where you want it. Which you kind of already have to do, if you're using the super strong Velcro that comes with the pedals, which I do since I keep my drums on a rug to begin with and it locks it in place.

    Bought these, dw 9002, and the new generation speed cobra doubles to see which ones I like better and much prefer the speed cobras and the chain feel. But I did buy the trick drive shaft 5.0 and put that on the speed cobras and wowwww it’s the best fastest perfect pedal for me. Plus the Tama pedals are MUCH cheaper than these or the DW’s. Returned both the dw and this trick double pedal and bought the new generation iron cobras as a backup and couldn’t be happier. But I will say trick has some really awesome stuff and their drive shaft is seriously amazing innovation and quality. Axis might have had that type of shaft design first but I read from most reviews and forums that the trick 5.0 shaft is better so I went with those. I’m just not really into the direct drive feel compared to chain and the Tama pedals are just perfect for my foot. Even the stock shafts the Tama pedals come with feel great to me but the trick shaft just makes it little more responsive and faster and last much longer.

    Ich spiele das Yamaha dfp 9500 d und bin hoch zufrieden damit. Sicherlich sieht das Trick- Pedal "technischer" und stylisher aus, und die Einstellung der Federspannung ist auch genial gelöst- aber braucht man das? Mal ehrlich: Sehen tut meine Pedale (fast) kein anderer ( und die Yamahas sehen auch richtig gut aus!), und die Einstellmöglichkeiten sind dieselben. Zumal man seine Pedale ja im allgemeinen nicht andauernd verstellt, wenn man einmal die passenden Einstellungen für sich gefunden hat. Das Trick- Pedal kostet allerdings beinahe das dreifache des Yamaha- Pendants, und diesen "Mehrwert" - so es denn einen gibt- sehe ich nicht. Und zu guter Letzt muss ich sagen, dass ich kein Freund dieser flachen beater bin, da finde ich die Variante mit dem zweiseitigen beater ( Filz/ Plastik) von Y. sogar um einiges besser. Leichter zu justieren und man muss den beater nicht auswechseln, sondern einfach nur umdrehen, wenn ein anderer Kickdrum- Sound gewünscht wird. Keep on drumming!

    2:40 ...Yes, Super easy.. but would be moot if it slides around. I am Super-Very curious to know just how well it actually stays Put throughout a gig/session/rehearsals, etc.. I've had Ludwig, Pearl and DW pedals and the best of them end up even slightly skewed. I am Not a light, jazz cat Or metal player, but I do lay into my 26" Ludwig pretty hard, but Musical. (Unlike some who have no idea how to hit a crash cymbal with the finesse necessary to get loud without being a cave man, breaking sh*t left and right). SO, For us moderate to heavier players... Does this thing stay Seriously Gripped to the hoop or not? And if not, do they make a "Hoop Sleeve" to thicken up the mounting surface area for the pedal? (not just a cheap rubber adhesive pad that also slides around). Thanks!!!!! Cheers!!!

      thats how all pedals are. an iron cobra or trick, if the pedal isn't set up to your needs then it won't let you do what you want. what you need is a pedal with plenty of potential to get you what you need if you have a different body type. my ankles don't have the flex range as other people's so i need odd set ups for my pedals. without infinite adjustment, i can't play well. this pedal would not work for me no matter what.
