a lovely gift of the Aquarian Tarot (new edition) from my lil bro for Yule. I wanted to pop this up while its fresh in my mind from reading the Psychic Tarot book by Craig Junjulas now combine with David Palladini's Aquarian tarot.
I share my thoughts along with my little tin version and a 1970s version. I have now researched this a bit more and didn't realise how many versions there have been! There are some interesting videos talking about the new edition so please do check them out if you are new to this deck or interested in the Aquarian tarot.

This has been on my wish-list for a while alongside the Morgan-Greer and I'm now considering it again on the back of this video. Or I'll be taking your recommendation of a 'no buy year' and holding off. Decisions, decision.

Aquarian Tarot is a classic. Totally understand having a no-buy year. That's what I did for most of last year. Now my savings are topped up though, there's a few I'd like, but don't want to get back into impulse buying... 4 of Pentacles :) Thanks for another video!

I believe all the US game editions have borders on the back. The ones without borders came from Morgan Press prior to that, They came in 2 part hard black boxes.

Loved this video G - please don't give up tarot content, I always love to hear your thoughts, musings and waffle on the cards! Lots of giggles as usual, as well as much to ponder on. Thank you! As to why a particular deck talk to you? ......for me this is fluid, changing from season to season. Image and artwork comes first for me, followed by symbolism and story. Would love a vid on this x

Loved your delve into the book, very comprehensive. I haven’t read it from cover to cover, no, but I’ve dipped in and out. I do believe it is for any deck and it’s just used tarot images from a deck that was popular at the time.
With the cards I found this new edition to have sharpened the line work a lot more, particularly with the facial features.
Regarding your question about why a particular deck might talk to you, for me I guess it’s having a deep connection with the images. If you have a deep connection then that’s where they will communicate. As you know I cannot connect at all with the Thoth, and I know it’s purely down to the images, that leave me feeling cold. I can interpret any card, as I know it’s meaning, but that particular deck doesn’t speak to me at all. If that makes sense?

@@the_hermits_cave yes I totally understand...if the images don't resonate its unlikely they ever will. There are some wonderful decks and some decks more challenging. Im so glad you gifted it to me ...the colour palette is perfect for January x

@madwitch9977 my wonderful husband was watching your video with me, and as I was oooohing and aaaaahing over the deck, he ordered it for me. He's a keeper for sure. I am sooooo excited to get it. I too am trying not to buy many decks this year as last year being my first intro to Tarot (thanks to Simon❤️) was a year of buying decks with carefree abandon much to the shagrin of our budget. 😉
Mmmmm..... they are like a muted Morgan Greer, by that it has boldness but toned down. I feel that ereneberg tarot is almost a modern version of this. Have you the History of Tarot Art? Its wonderful to explore about David Pallidini. If you haven't, I can send you a bit of the info given.

I picked up this newest version. It never really appealed to me before, but the price was right, so I thought I'd try it. I've used it once. I never reach for it because I have so many other decks that I enjoy more. I also found when I read the guidebook meanings that I feel a disconnect from how I view and interpret the images on some of the cards. This might be a deck I use sparingly or put away until I feel called to it. I don't have it, but I think I might like the New Pallidini more than this one.
@@SilverCrowTarot I LOVE the Palladini! I'm sure i have shown it and for a while it was my favourite so I would recommend it. The best part for me is I will put my own spin on cards now and throw away the book if necessary 🤣(metaphorically speaking ) 🤣🤣
@madwitch9977 I'm an intuitive reader, but I always read the guidebooks to see if I can glean any nuances I may have missed. I'll go look for your Pallidini video!

This is my first deck ever. I have a first edition with the pink back. Second edition, solid blue and a third edition from the 80s. Not going to get this edition.

as you know, i love your videos. please continue making them. i had the aquarian ages ago (late 80's or early 90's), but never knew about the book. the comparison is really fascinating. 💙🩵💙
