@@catmeow8155 it's cotton paper. Paper from trees don't absorb water well.
You can buy 400g/m2 paper, if it is tree it won't absorb well.
The color will goes everywhere, it will tild the paper, you will not be able to make more layer of watercolor than 1 or 2.
Arche paper, has been the best for more than 5 century for example. But other cotton paper are really good, and baboo paper is the midle ground if you want it more cheap !
I can assure you, i was thinking i was so bad at watercolor, but one day my mom let me her old arche paper to try. First try and it did like the video.
What they (in watercolor, not the sketch) do is real simple, they just have the right paper for it.

@@catmeow8155 cotton paper or tree paper or baboo paper ?
The best is 280-300, cotton paper. (Tree paper never work water color i tryed everything.)
But if it is 180g cotton paper, if you plan to do 3 layers max, it will be ok ! 👌
P.S. : i never try 180g cotton exactly, so you might want to check it up on other artists.
Still I'm sure its better than any other tree paper, whatever grams.
180g baboo will be disappointing if you want a perfect result.

Can you give any tips for a beginner artist like me?
Goldafish yes start off by planning your art then sketch it out softly and you can shade by rubbing your finger against the part your shading but to don’t go to fast it’ll ruin your art if it’s small but if it’s a big one you should be find just a little smudges and color!

If you want quickly to draw humans then try sculpting human face first then small full body :) Cause you will remember it when drawing on 2D. It helps with realistic style a lot.
Also, to add what the others said, humans are not perfect, so don't try to do every line perfectly. Every person has different proportions of the face , so try to find them when drawing someone. If you are a really beginner, start by drawing someone random, without any special things and without any expression on the face. It's quite hard to explain, but before starting, you should divide the page in two halfs
with a line. You will make better the head using it ( it will be more symmetrical and will stay naturally on the neck). To finish it, you will need a lot of exercise before you will be able to do it realistic . I hope I helped you and you are welcome!
If you suck at watercolor, try buying paper that REALLY suit watercolor.
I know it's expansive, but worth it.

Im pretty sure this watercolor paint on a pencil/graphite drawing. Watercolor is a water activated paint but you need thick paper for it. I dont think this is a special pencil, its just normal pencil. I hope this helps!
