Really appreciate the editing with the cueball strike points and target zones. Regarding pink to black, why not play with bottom-left to help it come down the table? Bonus comment: 3:13 blue less tied up now ;P
Bit too much distance between the White and pink to make it unmissable with the side spin, and as I only then needed to pot the black and not worry about position, it's wasn't worth risking missing the pink.
Didn't even notice the blue being 2mm off the spot actually, but as it happens it made no difference to the break as I disturbed them later on 😃

Incredible knowledge in and around the balls always playing on multiple reds but on the final pink a slower backswing will always help you get the power more so than gearing up with a rapid backswing
Wd thats fantastic I miss snooker so much especially as I have adhd I hate being stuck in I want to make consistent breaks ive had a 126 in practice before lockdown I was playing every nights . I always watch your vids to try improve myself ive noticed how calm u are during the whole break when I was younger I used to get excited the higher I'd get in a break lol I still so this to an extent im gonna take this vid on board

Great potting & positioning. I did however, notice on a couple of times you misplaced the black on its spot, rolling off to the right as we see it.
I like the fact that you pick target area sizes that are actually attainable at some reasonable percentage. On other channels I see these guys setting up postage stamps (not really, but pretty small, like maybe 4" (10 cm) radius) and I'm pretty sure they are 'after the fact exaggerating' as I see even top pros missing those size targets fairly often (few times a match anyway).
Close in short shots targets like that can be reasonable, but down a significant part of the table, with finesse is required, especially when significant screw or English is required, that is assuredly Ronnie O and like company territory, not the average decent pool or snooker player, not at high percentages anyway, not in my experience. Seems less frustrating when learning, too. As an engineer I can tell you there is no reason to spec. 1/10000 " when 1/1000 " will do, higher cost, higher scrap rates, and unnecessary time and frustration when the looser spec is adequate. Always fun and educational to watch, Thx sir.
On the blue/red interference, as a pool player I'm thinking why is he talking about moving the red...then oh yeah, right, dummy. LOL

Yeah it's easy to edit a little area for the cue ball after the fact, but what I'm trying to show is actually where a player will aim and how that margin will be fine to continue the break.
On a perfect day, we hit the middle of the target zone, and as you say, the top boys on TV will do that with more regularity. But the whole game is all about areas, percentages, and keeping the game as simple as it can be.

Please guide me to play a thin cut in far long pocket. Which side I should use to make it easier and less missable. I often face these types of shot at the end of the frame on pink and black when the opponent tries to safe it and leave it little high from the far long border.

When you say dare shot, is that a gentle back spin that releases to normal rotation just before contact? Or still back spinning at contact?
Thanks for the presentation. The zone indicating where you were trying to finish the white alongside your commentary was especially helpful. You are very, very skilled. If I try and play with side I have no chance, unless target ball over the pocket of course. Learning learning.

Oh ! So one has to have backup when placing the handball after a pot. I have always looked to place for a single specific ball and that almost always has been problematic for me. I'll focus on the green zones from now on So that I have multiple options . Thanks!

Why didn't u go for screw back with side spin for the black
The distance between white and pink was just enough to make that shot missable using side. But being a bit high on the final black I'd expect to pot most times and I don't need to worry about any position.
It's just about balancing risk / reward.

Great break and thanks for another great video. The visuals help a lot! Aiming for area rather than a point is a huge take away from this for me for sure.
I have been looking particularly closely on how you bring your cue to the table from standing behind the line of shot. A coach told me recently that I should first point the cue in the direction of the shot and then bring my body down to the cue. I noticed your approach is one smooth motion but you bring the cue in from the left side rather than point it first. Would you say that pointing (as the coach I talked to advised) would be more beneficial to accuracy for a beginner such as myself or should I try to copy what you are doing more? My accuracy is increasing over time as I get more experience so I wouldn't want to fix it if it's not broken...

Watch the professional players... No need to point your cue as you get down. Most right handed players will bring the cue in from the left like I do. Be careful of being too robotic. Snooker required a lot of FEEL. Don't coach that out of your game 👍

Hi, thanks for your great videos. Seeing you play so well, it's not quite obvious what actually separates you as a player from the professionals out there competing for the titles. Would you be able to explain in your own words why you are not out there playing televised tournaments?

It's just comes down to consistency once you reach a very high level. The top, top professionals play 5-6 hours a day, every single day which just increases their consistency to a whole new level again. Unfortunately I just haven't got enough time to play that much, as I took the game up very last (age 27... Now 37). Hence the reason I now coach full time. I love helping people improve their own game and get more enjoyment from the sport.

My table has a new cloth every year. It's maintained to the highest standards for an client that comes for a coaching session. Professional cloth, balls and cushion cloth 👍

@@abdullah_saeed10 my table is not even close to the speed of a professional table. I wish it was but unfortunately it's very difficult to replicate those conditions. Different cloth, table heaters, and a cloth that was only fitted 2-3 days ago. I can't compete with that!

No. You'd be moving the white around way too much for no reason. you've got black and blue fully available as well as all the baulk colours. The only time you'd tried to fetch a big value colour back is if everything was tied up and you need it to score.
I'm assuming that Mr Barton plays at some level -- his best result is? He is damn good...
I guess the biggest match I played was against Jack Lisowski in the Pink Ribbon tournament in 2018. He beat me 4-2. So a pleasing result for me, given that he's a top 16 player.

2. As a viewer I don't really learn much and that is a shame. The goal of the video ought to be teaching and not showing how well you play.
I would suggest on every shot your should explain where you want the cue ball to stop and most importantly: why and how you go about doing it...

Sorry Paul. I will tidy up before my next video. I try to do as much content as possible and sometimes the room isn't as clean as I would like it. I can only apologise and I will try for better in the future. I realise it is unacceptable and I am really sorry. I hope you will continue to watch my videos, but I will definitely try harder to make sure everything looks neat on my next upload.
