It is sickening watching team after team playing keepaway as the feckless wild are out there just going through the motions. When you start just going through the motions like Boldy and Johansson (which is stretching it on Carcus' best efforts this season!) you become a penalty magnet because the puck gets thrown your way more times in a game. Johansson is out tgere doing cardio again! Until you decide come hell or high water you are getting every puck and step into your play you can't possibly get a heater going. Sorry Boldy you have to put the wood into it before you get heat out. When you're lase' fair, it's like "give me the heat then I will throw in the wood."
Seth what does it say about a team when they are losing to teams that they are out shooting? As far as SOG. That’s not like a trick question i am seriously asking. Seems like it would mean something but not sure what. Bad goalie play or bad puck just not going in maybe?
I think it is a quality vs quantity issue. The shots are coming further and further out, which makes them easier for the opposing goalie to save. There have been exceptions, but that and inability to finish on chances when they do get down low are a real bad recipe for success
