BMW's Workshop Manual recommends you begin dash trim removal from 'LEFT' or by the ignition button as starting point. Hope this is helpful to some. Goodluck.
For the center vent trim all you need is the pry tool. Once you get the trim out and the start button unplugged, push the center buttons out from the inside and unplug them. Otherwise it’s kinda hard to get at them when still in the trim
recently wrapped my interior just like yours but you are right you can see all the imperfections and depends on how the matte wrap comes out I might switch over
How did you fix the broken blue plug-in retainer? I saw that yours is broken from the ignition side and mine is too. I purchased new one but I can’t get it to stay in the slot. Just pops right out

I tried sanding and painting. Took my time, several coats, let dry. Probably 5-6 coats. Then followed with 2-4 coats clear. Within a few months I was already have chips coming off. I'm going the wrapping route now. Much less time consuming and probably overall longer lasting.

how do you remove the whole cup holder trim? like that long piece connecting the 2 cup holders

Yes, you can try supergluing them back on.

If it’s an E46, then it won’t fit your E90 3 series

HELP PLEASE! I can't remove the dtc/hazard lights connector from central trim. It is stucked. I pulled it really hard , it is not getting out....

Wrap. That way yoy can always go back stock for resale and it last longer then paint
