When it comes to Smolder, you have to remember that he was designed for new players to ADC, and spacing and kiting to different attack speeds is hard for players that can't even last hit without burning through their mana bar. So he joins MF, Jhin and Ezreal in the squad of ADCs for people who are bad at, or don't want to play ADC.
Champ is also just kinda chill. You sit in lane, don't care about winning it, and watch stack go up.
Fitting that he was designed by the creator of Yuumi, as he also feels like the Yuumi of ADC.

i understand what you are getting at but its just popular adc's. Ezreal is probably, from a micro standpoint, the hardest adc but hes also one of the most popular. So you see a lot of bad ezreals, smolder is just brain turning off, like you said.

Im kinda new on tham, so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but would nashors tooth or whatever be good on him ??
I’d say not really. Innately he’s has incentive to build HP with heartsteel since his Q scales 1:1 with size and more grey health pool with E. So bigger you are the longer your Q and it still has the same animation speed. But back to Nashor’s the 50% AS won’t get his base AS higher than 1.0. His abilities scale really well with AP so I can understand the question. But realistically he’d only be able to cash in on the AP reliably. Now I could also be completely wrong I play tank Kench, so someone who plays AP Kench would probably provide way better insight.

The only thing that can kill Tahm is an even stronger top laner. Kinda weird position in the game rn. Played a game as Tahm, free win. Then played Trundle against Tahm, he 1v4 the rest of my team but I can 1v1 him, another win but that Tahm champ is certainly yielding less than a Ksante
