I am not a hater. I love Barth, love this pod, listen to barth on multiple channels. But between the RB and O-line debates Barth doesn't even let Evan speak or acknowledge his viewpoint of late. He is capable of slightly better banter is all. I have scene better out of him in the past, want the best for the show, which is still the best Pats show in town by far and away.
@tubopedia see I feel differently, I feel evan is condescending and has a I'm better attitude towards barth...and Barth in my opinion is the best...but regardless love em both...my favorite podcast by a mile...than live patriots beat..although Taylor Kyle's is awesome
You're both right. They're both incredibly knowledgeable about the game of football. Neither is always right and each has their faults, but what makes them great is how well they work together.
Everybody is so sensitive in these comments. They’re buddies and the entire point of this show is to go deep on random minutia. And it’s the offseason so there’s almost nothing to talk about. YALL GOTTA RELAX
While I do like other Patriot podcasts, Evan and Alex together are my favorite! Very insightful for serious Patriot fans!
I don’t get all the Barth hate honestly. He’s probably my favorite pats podcpodcaster
Evan mondres numbers got better after week 6. Once the line started playing better. That line was atrocious. Trying to find some cohesion. Once they kinda got some stability Think he was 11th from week 6-12(got hurt in the beginning of week 13) in ypc, rush yards etc. And rhamondre might be 26 but he is a young 26. He has fresh legs compared to most 26 year old rbs. He didn't hardly even play in college. And his first season as a rookie he was the 2nd option. And last year he got hurt in week 13. He has fresh legs. Have no issue with this whatsoever.
And the "right thing to do" is not to shop judon. How can you even begin to think that!?!?! Who's replacing him?!?!?!? Seriously who's replacing him???? He's our BEST player on defense and can play every down. Give him an extension and let him finish his career here. Reward the guy who's been your best defensive guy since he got here. Its a no Brainer.
Also whats up with all the hate on barth lately?! "This is evans show" "he needs to know his role" "he interrupts evan" "their arguing has gotten ridiculous" i domt understand where this is coming from. This is.BOTH their show. It doesnt work without BOTH of them. And would you rather they agree on EVERYTHING all the time like brian hines agrees with barth all the time?? Because thats annoying. Thats what makes this show so great is because they have a difference of opinion on certain parts of football and thats awesome..and they are real friends, so they can make fun of eachother and get on one another and its just fine. I just dont get what yall are having issues with all of a sudden but barth doesnt deserve the hate.

Unfiltered is a patriots themed podcast, while catch-22 is an actual patriots podcast
I think the whole "patriots are trying to develop a culture of developing ans retaining their own players " is so overrated and quite honestly useless. You don't get that culture over night. And so what, they're just gonna re sign all their players? They were 4-13 last year...I don't want half their players back. Stevenson is a RB. Very replaceable, he also wasn't a FA, so this wasn't necessary. I'm indifferent on this extension, he's a solid player but making this type of guarantee and commitment to a RB coming off an injury is questionable. Also, does this men's they'll be running more? Because teams that invest in their RB's suck. The titans are a good example. Colts too. Having a featured RB is usually a bad sign.
Why pay for a part that burns out the fastest? Still, the contract is reasonable.

Barth is almost intolerable. Evan can hard even talk or give his opinion without barth butting in and trying to prove a point or convince him hes wrong.

@@guner2955 Perry and Curran never argue, they've been doing it a lot longer 🙅♂️. When they disagree, it's on the next subject. They also allow each other to state there case
barth and evan make it a great combo. catch 22 has surpassed pats unfiltered and it's not close
@@TheOxman420 cmon man be so real currans a tool. U like Perry but both of them know nothing about the sport of football. Barth and lazar do. Plus the chemistry these two have is unmatched

These guys used to be on the same page. It has gotten a little more argumentative as of late. I wish Barth would recognize that this isn't the hub. They don't need to prove who's smarter and there is only one way this team should be run.
Yeah dude, it's been getting annoying. It's been hard to listen. I've had to bail out of the last few episodes
That’s what I think makes them great. Almost a ying yang situation. If they just agreed on everything it would make the pod less interesting
@lewisarmstrong2294 yeah but to listen to them argue over the O line or hypelthetical situations gets old fast. Especially because 90% of the time there takes are not even close to what actually goes down.

This is not evans show. This is both of their show. They carried over from the podcast they use to do together. They both make this show go. It doesn't work without the other one.
To me, the major selling point of Catch-22 is that it provides intelligent takes, and a break from the garbage combative nature of Felger and Mazz. Please dial back the argumentative vibes of this show guys. It doesn't need to be hand-holding and singing and it's good to disagree, but it's just exhausting to listen to you two argue for 30 min to open the show. If you disagree, do it quickly and then move on. Keep it up, you two are awesome.
