Let's try Ukraine as an example, the people are leaving their country for Poland and neighboring countries because of bombardment, when the people get to the borders they are registered and they keep tabs on wherever they are in their country, but the people are coming from a war!....which is a different story with foreigners in south Africa, who just come to loot our resources because they are too afraid to confront their own government and to fix their country. These illegal foreigners who are in south Africa are cowards who run away from our problems....we as south Africans are tired of the government bullying us and we fight for our rights.

The ZA media is extremely antagonistic to South Africans.
How can eNCA invite a foreigner to comment, unchallenged , about the issues affecting South Africans.
There's a tendency in the media to trivialise the issue of foreigners in ZA by reducing it to a mere competition for employment opportunities between foreigners and Sans.
No one, including the SAHRC is fair to point out the high level of criminality in which foreigners are involve in this country, e.g, setting spikes on our freeways at night; brutal CIT activities on almost daily basis, highjacking of building in certain parts of ZA cities; kidnappings and human trafficking, cartels squeezing out small local business in the township. Acts which violate SAns rights to safety and human dignity.
With the exception of Dr Motsoaledi, no one mentions the burden placed by such large number of foreigners on our infrastructure such as; schools (no space for local children); hospitals( catering for heavily pregnant foreigners as far as Malawi who risk everything just give birth free in ZA ), just mentioning a few of the list of all the negatives resulting from uncontrolled influx of foreigners in ZA.
In the face of all the issues about foreigners, South Africans dare not raise their voices of concern, let alone attempt to restore some semblance of normality in their areas.
We SAns on the other should shoulder the blame in that we continue to offer accommodation to these foreigners in our areas, we continue to patronize their shops that sell us fake and expired goods.
Why the ZA media SAHRC and ANC appear blind to these real problems affecting South Africans, but only obsessed with labeling South Africans as xenophobic?!!

National governments of other African nations must start creating an evacuation plan for its citizens and fly large numbers home to avoid further clashes. SA may have a rich legal system and government but its down to the citezens to decide what it wants, foreigners have no rights to impose themselves there unless the host nation wants them there. Mr Sibanda is oblivious of the situation on the ground and the immigration status of many of those whom he purports to represent. Otherwise he is deliberately being economical with the truth. Since the beginning of Operation Dudula, the learders have been at pains explaining that they are demanding exit of all undocumented immigrants and that stance has so far been consistent. Now for Mr Sibanda to come here and speak as if people with legal immigration status are being targeted is being disingenuous and consistent with the practices of most foreign nationals as the majority is illegal.
As far as I know, foreign nationals from SADC region don't require an entry visa to come into South Africa. Can M Sibanda then explain why many Zimbabweans choose to come into the country through illegal means, what is the incentive of avoiding entry through the designated official ports of entry? Isn't that the very motive of them coming into South Africa is already laced with intention to deceive and commit crime from the very beginning. I would advise Mr Sibanda to relax as Operation Dudula and similar movements are here to stay. He must watch and learn how "People's Power"work perhaps he can borrow a few tips he can use to change his hopeless Zimbabwe and stop dictating on how South Africans should live.

It's people us were neither prepared or had the foresight that the economy was a continuation of the old. Now that said. Why would people who do not have the knowledge not want to fight for their country. Unfortunately this happens everywhere Zimbabwe has stated no foreigners may trade there but China gets a pass or something. Even in Asia they kill even if its an American black or white anyone who interrupts their way of life. South Africans are people too. Their frustrations matter. However any illegal actions against anyone will not be condoned. But neither will they be silenced. Because there is a massive time bomb ticking eve so slowly towards exploding. I am from Angola and living in ANGOLA, not in SA, and we have no problems with foreigners, they are welcome black or white, from other African countries and all over the world. It is so sad what is happening in SA, instead of blaming the right people for their problems, they think that chasing all the African foreigners will solve their problem, but it will not, it will only get worst.
The problem has nothing to do with foreigners in your country but with you guys, you don´t listen to what Nelson Mandela said once...THE EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO GET THE CHANGE, your actions show that you luck education. I have no words to describe how I feel ashamed of our African fellows, something I think is that we black people deserve all the bad things that happen to us because we treat bad our own people of the same color, our fellow black African brothers, that is why white will always treat us like they treat because we blacks treat even worst.

    1. The operation is a good step but its implementing a wrong policy. Competition, taking your Jobs its never the best justification. The best one would be to press Govt to close its borders from foreign entry even if it means building a wall like in US.
    2. Even if you do Dudula, the operation would not last long, it will be short lived. The operation is lead by people who are not with sound Education background hence they would not understand the repurcussions and finding long lasting solutions for South Africans.
    3. Apartheid instilled wrong perception of most South Africans to date. The categorisation of Human race, the hatred they have towards fellow blacks is equally to the one when a child grows under an abusive father. That child automatically will fail to treat his family with accordance. In similar fashion, South Africans categorically they think the problem that is persisting in South Africa emanates from the immigrants.
    4. Look around you South Africans if you can check the demographic statistics, there is an estimated population of 4.1 million emigrants in South Africa which represent a total of 7% of the total population. What it means for every 100 South African there are 7 emigrant. Whats does that entail? Problems that South Africans are facing may not necessary come from this 7% population. Therefore, there is need to trace the root cause of suffering by South Africans. Dudula may do very little, if not worsening the economic crisis the world is witnessing of late.

@@virimaichigariro There lies the problem. Africans view South Africa as an America on the African continent, a promised land, will boundless opportunities, when it is far from that. This clash happens because most black South Africans are struggling for basic survival. To find jobs, housing etc.. They are in direct competition with African migrants. Willing to work for much less. Also, the stereotype is that blacks in South African are lazy and the immigrants hard workers, which I don't agree with at all. It is the same stereotype of my folks in the U.K. I am from a white working class background in the U.K. Before Brexit many employers in the building trades were not hiring native Brits. The stereotype was that we are all lazy, entitled and complain too much. I am of the opinion that immigration is a tool that employers uses to perpetually keep wages as low as possible. In South Africa people are fighting back. Kudos to them.

@@finn3102 You couldn't have resolved our discussion more perfectly. I am a Zimbabwean living in Zimbabwe. I studied in South Africa, worked for a little in Johannesburg then moved back to Harare.
To digress: I have 3 sisters that are married to white men and they all have mixed children. One lives in Jhb and she's married to a UK immigrant from Nottingham with Welsh blood. My other sister is married to a Belgian architect and they live in Brussels. My other sister lives in Boston MA.
When you mentioned your family, you brought me to remembrance of fond memories of time spent with my little nieces and nephews. NB. I was not referring to you in my comment about white supremacists and Operation Dudula having the same agenda. There was no way I could have known that you are Caucasian.
      Thanks mate.
