My hair and skin are the first tell-tale sign when I am eating less than stellar foods and not managing stress well. It has been my goal since I did big chop #2 in May of 2016 (last year) to get my hair back healthy. In today's video, I am showing you how I take my wave game up a couple notches without brushing my scalp clean off! With my method, you will have to brush WAY LESS! I hope you enjoy!

Nice video Queen. I've been a spinner since I was 10, I'm 39 now. You are on point in this video. The only bit of advice I have to add is: At the point where you say "Brush lightly, ever so lightly", at that point it's time to switch to a soft bristle brush (commonly known as a wave brush).
The hard bristle brush is ideal for training the hair while it's wet. It also serves a dual purpose as it also helps to cleanse your scalp also. But after the cleansing and training is complete the soft bristle brush is what lays your hair down and makes your waves pop. Peace and Blessings My Sister.

keyaira spivey To be honest there is no such thing as a wave brush. All she and any guy is using is a bristle brush. Only difference between bristle brushes is the hardness & softness.. So yes a bristle brush is good for there hair especially for coarse hair..
keyaira spivey A wave brush is a soft bristle brush. If your hair isn't short it won't be effective unless you use the brush AFTER you pull your hair into a ponytail just to lay your hair down better. I hope this helps.

can u explain to me why u feel this way? im having trouble understanding i just considered cutting my hair for the 3rd time ....when i brought it up to both my husband and my bestfriend they both were pushing me to do it (my bestfriend is a man as well) and each time in the past the men in my life would push for this to happen when i brought it up. ive always felt like it was some gay fantasy ..esp with the palming of the head (u know what i mean) i would like a better understanding of this tho every man cant possibly be gay there has to be something about it . please enlighten me

Looks sooooo good! If you want stronger connections on the sides go at an angle! It’ll straighten out the pattern and make everything connect so much better! Also brush one side with the hand that belongs to it I.e left hand left side right hand right side. I promise you your waves will be even more popping than they already are

Good tips I do this myself but you do have to brush your hair often that's what give you waves once you hit your curl length you'll make better progress also growing her hair 8 to 12 weeks while still brushing with a hard brush gives you deep waves with good connections once you get the cut waves will be dipping

Phenomenal video I normally do everything that you said do for my hair but I condition it in the shower brush it and then when I get out of the shower I condition it again. But that’s just what I do I would take some of your tips though.
Hello beautiful queen I have one tip for you because I absolutely don't brush in public or anything just when iam doing my hair, so when you brush with the shampoo put your durag on and then leave it on for about two hours then wash out the shampoo while wearing the durag it will keep your waves in place, all love from flossyflo of ready made individuals check my waves zero daily brushing for me, great job sista

Hi Jena! I’m a guy and I too am not fond of the idea of brushing all day. I tried that method and it always leaves my scalp too sensitive to even touch for a week or 2. Until now I thought that was the only way to get waves. I’m gonna give your method a try using the same products as you suggested. My only question is do you wash your hair every day?
I do NOT! I wash 2-3/wk or as needed!

I love that Shea moisture black soap..I do my wash and lay or wash and styles with it.
Double compression gave me the best waves but left my hair SOOOO dry....Im going to try most of this video though....might help with my hair not getting so dry.
