    I absolutely love stainless hardware, one of my favorite bits of bling for rc.

    On my Wendigo ive done the same sway bar conversion as u but I opted to keep the stock rear shocks and I went with the Mickey Thompson baja claw tires on aluminum beadlocks and all stock motor gears esc. I love it and it rips in sand and dirt

    Ha ha, you're going to run those on everything you own ! After watching you run i have to say they look right at home on the Wendigo.

      yeah I have one more to run them on, waiting for the 12mm hexes to fit them...

    The cast plastic hubs save material with those empty spaces without adding any time to the casting process. Machining those spaces into the metal hubs would waste material (shavings aren't useable aluminum) and also take more time. I'm not an engineer either, but fabrication I have done a bit.

  • @axle1717

    You should spin the driveshafts end for end. Would probably help the life expectancy

    Did the Wendigo have enough threads on the axles to reach the nylon locking portion of the wheel nuts? I want to build a Wendigo based mega truck with Mamba tires, what would your opinion be of a set like that?

    Do you know if there is a way to calculate the rc electrical system to a equivalent horsepower measurement?

    • @guscarter1454
      @guscarter1454 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "Electric Horsepower Calculator" www.calcunation.com/calculator/electrical-horsepower.php
      Here's a simple way to calculate what would be considered "crank horsepower". Calculation at the wheels takes special tools as there's no way to accurately estimate friction loss.

    I like the wendigo. They had them at 359 where I buy from and they raised them back up to 379 so I ended up buying the ryft. I still may get one eventually. I know you got the vitavon on the ryft but treal sent me pics of the ryft axles they are working on and they look good. Waiting on that ryft vs wendigo video, keep up the great videos.

      The Ryft will eat the Wendigo lunch.

    • @brandonwilliams2431

      First upgrade in my opinion you will need to do to the ryft is the trailing arms

    • @John-uh4rv
      @John-uh4rv 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brandonwilliams2431 yeah I still didn’t even get it in the mail yet. So far I just have the straight rod ends coming . I emailed mfr, the same guy who does the upper and lower links on my udr, about trailing arms for the ryft but haven’t heard back yet. I’m no hurry though , I’ll build it up slow.

    If I could find wider 2.6 bead locks I would get these tires

    • @RC_Rooster
      @RC_Rooster 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You typically dont want a wide wheel on a really skinny tire like this tbh.

    • @MrDan1713
      @MrDan1713 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could probably run them on J Concepts 2.6 Dragon wheels, they are wider but are glue on.

    Those tires are Bad A$$ on the Windigo!!! It was a mild bash with that rig but so controlled! I might have to get those tires for my Daughters Windigo!! 🤔. Great vid keep it up!!! Stay safe and bash on from Colorado!!!

  • @Dedmuus

    the reason they don't design the plastic like the aluminum is cost. It costs more to mill more on the aluminum as it costs more to use more material on the injection mold running thousands of plastic parts.

    I don't like the hubs, Proline is ruining their line for me, by forcing these wheels and only offering mounted to these abomination of wheels. For those who like them, great party on. But 1 nut vs 1 nut and 6 or 8 bolts aggravates my carpal tunnel. Their doing this is forcing me to look at J concepts, only other good tire manufacturer.

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ExocagedRC, That's cool, but tires like their badlands are only coming on these hub less type wheels exclusively. No normal wheels for those of us that wish to just have a normal wheel. also they are no longer offering the tires alone. they are forcing these type wheels on everyone
