Both of these decks are so very lovely, Both decks are so beautiful and expressive. I am surprised by how very different the decks feel with the images between decks, at least to me. It isn't that one has borders and one does not, they just feel like many differing sides to the same thoughts. Very unexpectedly delightful! Thank you so much for comparing them.
Hi, thank you for doing this comparison. I guess I'm the odd man out here, but I much prefer the older deck. The packaging is nice in both; I don't like the backs on either deck, but if I were forced to pick a back, I'd go with the newer one, and I could certainly do without the borders on the older deck. However, I definitely think that for the most part, the artwork itself in the older deck looks more sophisticated and refined, whereas the newer deck has a simpler drawn art style. Now, I don't mean every single card - there are a few cards in which I prefer the newer ones (mostly at the end of the deck). Weirdly, it looks to me as if the order these decks were released should actually be reversed, with the older deck generally having a more refined and detailed art style, and the newer deck showing a less experienced artistic style. Strange. Granted, the newer deck may have backgrounds with more coloration, and some of the cards may be more brightly colored, but the details in the scenery and in the faeries themselves appear to be less than in the older deck (once again, for the most part). I have to add one more thing: in the cards where the titles have been changed, I prefer the original titles more.

Those love bugs are everywhere lol February and Imbolc bring them out. Giggles. But I gave my glitter safely locked away so they cant get into more. And I do logo both decks
Both decks are gorgeous! There's some cards I like better in the first deck but overall I think I like the new one better. And I love the frogs and dragons.

It's not terrible, though. I like that all the images are upright, in the new deck and, the cardstock is a bit thicker. It's worth having both of them.
