The Zarya/Sym bugfix/buff was explained by Josh Noh on the forums, it will help you keep high damage even if your tracking isn't pro-level: "This bug fix can have a significant impact for both Zarya and Symmetra beam damage and to a lesser extent Winston and Moira. It will make damage feel more consistent but does not increase their maximum damage. The issue was that if you were tracking a target with a beam and then lost it (within about a 0.15 sec window) it could end up dealing a partial damage value instead of the full amount. The odd part of this fix is that the damage increase scales inversely with tracking accuracy. The more accurate a player’s tracking is, the less noticeable the change will be, with professional players likely being the least affected. We’ll be keeping a close on eye on Zarya and Symmetra in particular this patch."
I think over watch should keep it balanced one new tank one new healer 1 new dps cause not many people enjoy playing tanks or healers from my experience
I believe that the next 3 heroes should be: 2 tanks and 1 support. We need tanks more than any other role. I honestly don't want to see another DPS and I main DPS!!!!!!!!

For the longest time I felt Overwatch might die. Now I´m positive, for the first time, that the game will recover greatly with all the new stuff and changes that are positive at best, and (as far as I know only 1) debatable at worst. We get a new exciting hero, the meta will change once again (bunker already is a thing, don´t know how you come to the conclusion it will become now) and while competitive stuff needs changes just as much as certain heroes, as much as new heroes needing to be added to certain classes, you can´t deny this is better than the majority, if not all, of the things we got all these years. Better does not mean perfect.
I cant agree. They've made some good changes, but are dancing around the issue of exhaustion with the same gamemode. We need some PvE or more unique, and importantly permanent, gamemodes- that arent an expansion or other game.
Yeah I am one of four people that likes Paris too.... I find Hanumora's and Volskya's chokes FAR MUCH more difficult than Paris because they actually require teamwork to break. Paris just requires a little bit of game sense to break or just picking the right character like sym/hammond/sombra, while you can farm people that aren't super quick to learn from there mistakes :)
I've switched to playing a dive tank on Paris and have found the first point much easier that way than trying to drag a group through that choke with a shield.

Feels like they should make Matrix and Black Hole eat different things. Since Blackhole does everything like Matrix but also eats hooks, it's better by definition. If each one had specific uses against certain heroes, it would make both abilities a bit more situational while also varying the hero pool need.

Sigmas ult can also be used as a defensive ult come to think of it. When a genji blades or reim gets nanoed you can just send them to the air. And you can use Lucio ult or zen ult for any other situation that would follow up like if they have grav still.
You know the door to the left right on Paris. If they update it to where it's not just one choke and more like a choke and a door like on Hanamura, I think that would significantly change the winrate of the map
With the old Eichenwalde* They made it so there is a *possible* other option, Hanamura also has a *possible* other option for a lot of heroes but Paris is limited to like 3 or 4 heroes over the house.

Blizzard has been honestly killing it these past few weeks. I know the new hero was always going to arrive at around this time, and summer games was always going to be around this time, but adding role lock and role queue, a bunch of hero changes, a little bit more variety to a tired event, and an amazing hero addition on TOP of continuing to add new changes and promising more big things soon is phenomenal.
Someone told me the idea of it. Depending on your recommendation level, where you have 3 slots at level 1 and you can max it to 7 slots if you manage to have a 5 recommendation level
I don't know why, but I had it in my head that the announcement at the end of summer/early autumn was going to be a new game event, like Halloween and summer games, to give us more story or more variety. It would explain why the skins feel fewer, because they're simultaneously making skins for another, extra event.

Hopefully the next hero is Mauga and he is another main tank. We're going to need a lot more main tanks for 222 to work effectively. They can do another healer right afterward. We have MORE than enough DPS right now...
The issue with Paris is the lack of high ground. There are several ledges that look like you should be able to land on them but you can’t make them have enough room to land on and it would be one of the best maps.
What do you mean? id say its an overall buff to her tp the extra range and it not going away means you can place it from defence spawn to point and save any respawning team mates 30 metres of space to get back to point. itll be great for stalling.
Mitchell her tp already needed a buff anyway. the range was lowkey bad but now her tp is terrible. from a around 5 sec cool down to a 15 sec cool down is not the best idea... also you have to wait longer for her to enter her tp. so overall it ruins her mobility, utility, dps, and survivability.. she’s gonna remain idle when she waits for her tp and even if her tp is recharged, she can’t even use it for tp bombing or getting cheeky hits as well.
@@joshuakim6330 you can still tp bomb. And the re enter time was only increased by 0.5 of a second. TP is mostly used for getting through chokes or getting to high ground which you dont need to do every 5 seconds. Overall the pros out way the cons. The fact that it never goes away is a huge bonus to the team being able to get them to point faster.
I find it weird that his ability is supposed to be like DM. I swear in Seagull’s stream that Jeff said DM was a mistake and that it was only supposed to eat damage... Was he just unaware at that time?

My friends and I got back into it about three months ago after we forgot why we stopped playing lol! With all these new changes and upcoming alterations, we're more hooked than ever!
That's because there's loads planned. Two years worth by their own admission. We know we'll be getting Echo and Mauga in the future, we might be getting Junker Queen, Maximillien, the Omnic villain seen with Doomfist at the end of Storm Rising and hell, we might even have a jetpack cat!
Just a heads up: kinetic grasp seems to work almost exactly the same as Genji's deflect, the only difference being it absorbs rather than deflects. If Genji can deflect it, Sigma can absorb it.

They really aren't. Since the game's release they've added 10 characters, 4 supports (Ana, Baptiste, Brigitte and Moira), 3 tanks (Orisa, Sigma, Wrecking Ball), and 3 DPS (Ashe, Doomfist and Sombra), and even then Sombra can be considered more of a DPS/Support Hybrid with all her utility. It's fairly well balanced and they're keeping everyone relatively happy (except you obviously)

they should replace the sym barrier2.0 sigma uses, with a mini-unstable blackhole that callopses after absorbing a set amount of incoming damage. Right Click should activate a small orbit field, so that in reduces incoming non-projectile damage (20-50%), and redirects all projectiles. think these changes will make him a much more interesting character, and a better tank. have him hold the blackhole in the palm of his hand, and all incoming damage in a similar field as Reins barrier, will be drawn in and absorbed by the blackhole. Sig would for all intents and purposes, be a combination of Rein and Zarya. energy absorbed by the orbit field, regenerates the capacity of the blackhole

Hopefully the next hero is Mauga and he is another main tank. We're going to need a lot more main tanks for 222 to work effectively. They can do another healer right afterward. We have MORE than enough DPS right now...

The issue with Paris is the lack of high ground. There are several ledges that look like you should be able to land on them but you can’t make them have enough room to land on and it would be one of the best maps.

the extra range and it not going away means you can place it from defence spawn to point and save any respawning team mates 30 metres of space to get back to point. itll be great for stalling.
Mitchell her tp already needed a buff anyway. the range was lowkey bad but now her tp is terrible. from a around 5 sec cool down to a 15 sec cool down is not the best idea... also you have to wait longer for her to enter her tp. so overall it ruins her mobility, utility, dps, and survivability.. she’s gonna remain idle when she waits for her tp and even if her tp is recharged, she can’t even use it for tp bombing or getting cheeky hits as well.
@@joshuakim6330 you can still tp bomb. And the re enter time was only increased by 0.5 of a second.
TP is mostly used for getting through chokes or getting to high ground which you dont need to do every 5 seconds. Overall the pros out way the cons. The fact that it never goes away is a huge bonus to the team being able to get them to point faster.

Jeff said in sigma's developer update that they wanted to focus more on tanks. so I wouldn't be surprised and actually really happy if Mauga was hero 32. also i would really love for the announcement to be a custom hero creator!

Just a heads up: kinetic grasp seems to work almost exactly the same as Genji's deflect, the only difference being it absorbs rather than deflects. If Genji can deflect it, Sigma can absorb it.

They really aren't. Since the game's release they've added 10 characters, 4 supports (Ana, Baptiste, Brigitte and Moira), 3 tanks (Orisa, Sigma, Wrecking Ball), and 3 DPS (Ashe, Doomfist and Sombra), and even then Sombra can be considered more of a DPS/Support Hybrid with all her utility. It's fairly well balanced and they're keeping everyone relatively happy (except you obviously)

The only thing "leaving most players as DPS mains" as you put it, is their stubbornness and lack of effort to try and learn how to play other heroes, more than just their basic "point and click" DPS (Soldier, McCree, Ashe and Widow)
they should replace the sym barrier2.0 sigma uses, with a mini-unstable blackhole that callopses after absorbing a set amount of incoming damage.
Right Click should activate a small orbit field, so that in reduces incoming non-projectile damage (20-50%), and redirects all projectiles.
think these changes will make him a much more interesting character, and a better tank.
have him hold the blackhole in the palm of his hand, and all incoming damage in a similar field as Reins barrier, will be drawn in and absorbed by the blackhole.
Sig would for all intents and purposes, be a combination of Rein and Zarya.
energy absorbed by the orbit field, regenerates the capacity of the blackhole
