The view in Greece is truly extraordinary, and the Monastery building on a very high rocky hill. I can imagine how many stairs there are to climb. really amazing and Magical place in Meteora
Watching from Boston, Massachusetts. Planning a trip to Greece and the video is very helpful. I have a fear of heights. Are there parts of the climb that are very exposed.
Thanks for watching. No, none of the climbs are exposed in any way. They have done a great job building easy and protected steps that lead up to the monasteries. It's really not too bad at all.
I appreciate your concern. But you also have to think about the local and monastic communities whose lives now depend on tourists coming and spending money. Tourism has allowed these monasteries to undergo incredible restoration, ensuring they will stand the test of time. FYI, There are still private monasteries where tourists are not allowed which is great. 👍
Where are you watching from? Let me know in the comments. 🇬🇷
Watching from Maryland! Visiting Greece on first week of April and looking forward to be at Meteora on April 2!

How very sad that they thought they would be closer to God up there not knowing that God is ever present.
Why turn the Sacred ground into a commercial tourist attraction.
Why disturb the Monks peace and Tranquillity!
