I’m not from England, I’m Arab but I feel this was a representation of British punk rock in this era. If so, think she did a great job if that’s what was intended. Her hair, outfit and the whole aesthetic just makes me think Britain and the punk scene 🇬🇧 👏

It figures - She was/is easily the best singer of the group. I feel like none of the others would ever have made it as singers in their own right if they hadn't been in Spice Girls before. Mel C is the one very obvious exeption.
In the late 90s who ever thought "Sporty Spice" had THAT much fire inside her and could pull of a track like THIS..!? But she did, and then some! Northern Star has it all - Rock, RnB, dance, ballads, accoustic... Her artistic range was/is spectacular and unlike her Spice bandmates (and I say this with no disrespect intended) she also has the vocal range they lack to pull it all off.
Nightrodboss Eden her best album yet but vocally great artist and definitely 1 out 5 spice girls I liked growing up the albums. After that never really appealed to me except for the odd track here and there but she definitely great at song lyrics

Well it was the times: this was 99 or whenever but the early 2000s is when music went downhill for keeps. Spice Girls were of the times but Mel's solo work was out of step with the times. Anyway, was big enough in England - 4 top-ten singles including 2 #1s. I'd say that was pretty big. After that music went all to hell anyway.

25 years ago today this came out! At 15 I needed this anger and power she had, so glad I wrote a book about my childhood, self published it and even got bits about Mel and Spice Girls music savjng me, then all thoae yeaes later giving a copy to Mel herself!! 25 years later, I revisit this song with such love and passion, like revisiting and old friend. Holding that inner child and teenager close!

I couldn't listen to this song since 1999 because I recorded on a cassette from the radio and never knew who was the singer, then I lost the cassette... today in February of 2023 with the technology I just said : ha ha ha yourararu going down on the song finder and after some hours I finally found it, because I've never forgot the song. I'm from a city in the south of Mexico, that's the reason she wasn't famous here and I haven't a clue of what was the song lyrics. After all that years, ir feels very rare.
