Camping at CASWELL MEMORIAL STATE PARK - Ripon, California - Solo Male

On the advise of my buddy Darren, I'm off to check out Caswell memorial State Park, and more specifically, their campground. I don't have a reservation so I'm just heading out there to see if I can get in on a Sunday afternoon.
A few miles south of Ripon and Manteca, SE of Lathrop and E of Tracy, this park is a nice little hideaway that I didn't even know existed, I will be coming out here again and again seeing as it's so close to my zone and plenty of natural shade trees next to the Stanislaus River.

YES ! BOB AND I CHECKED THAT PLACE OUT ABOUT 9 MONTHS AGO. OUR GRANDSONS LIVE ABOUT A MILE AWAY, AND GO TO RIPON SCHOOL.....I HOPE YOU TOOK THE SELF GUIDED HIKING TRAIL....THAT WAS A BLAST.....VERY EDUCATIONAL

I totally enjoyed that!!! I'm feeling kind of stressed out tonight at about 3:22 a.m. and this was a nice reprieve keep up the good work it's my therapy. I don't know if it's just me or not but I take comfort in hearing you speak as well you're a very good speaker👍

I live about 20 miles maybe less from this place. Had no idea about it and just went out there to check it out this afternoon. Definitely making a trip to get away from my work in the bay area

My only gripe with Caswell is it's too close to civilization. It doesn't feel as camp-tastic as farther removed locations, such as the camp sites up in Mendocino County. Would love to see you do a video of that spot.

It’s just far enough from civilization but close enough if you have an emergency and have to go to town

There were definitely some mosquitos here at this park, but nothing I couldn't handle, they don't like my blood, too many toxins, LOL
