      Yes Emmanuel. To be honest, I felt that so many people had basic VBA videos so there was no need. However, my followers asked so much for me to create the series, so I am really happy to bring it to you.
      I also have a 'from scratch' video coming out next Tuesday right here:

    Beyond excellent tutorial. How do we know when to declare a variable?

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so very much, I really appreciate that. Variables are great when you want to reuse, or keep track of data. Variables are also a visual way to remember the data stored inside the variable. Since you commented on my training on 'Mastering Variables' that just came out, you saw that one already. So that training is focussed on just variables.

    When creating the first macro, what does Option explicit mean and must I type it in before typing the code for the macro? 12:05

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi and thanks very much Option Explicit, means that you are required to declare all variables in your code. In the VBA Editor Tools > Options > check the 'Require Variable Declaration' option, then any new module you add will have this Option Explicit text already at the top.
      I hope this helps and thanks so much.

    Hi, very interesting videos indeed... I made years ago vba files with a calendar in userforms. This ocx cannot be added in new excel versions and doesn't exist anymore in new excel. I've found an userform in internet that do the same work. But is it possible to insert an userform in an userform ? Do you know other solutions ? Thanks for your videos very useful...

      @ExcelForFreelancers  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi and thanks, yes sure its certainly possible. Le'ts assume you have a userform with a date field and you want a date picker to pop up, you can have this. Just set the Show Modal to False on the first userform which will allow the 2nd to be shown. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

    Hello, is there a way to hide tabs when I hide a tab then I get a VBA error. for example. I have a calculations tab and when I hide it. and run my macro the error is for the calculation sheet. I want others to use on my job but don't want them to see certain tabs. Thanks

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      HI and thanks very much. You should be able to calculate a hidden sheet. The only thing you cannot do i select a cell in a hidden sheet. It would be difficult for us to help unless we see the specific bug you are running into. Can you upload screenshots of your bug and sheet into our Excel For Freelancers Facebook Group here: bit.ly/groupexcel We have 60,000 Members who would love to help you with this. Thanks so much.

      Hi and thanks. I have checked all of the links and they seem to be working fine. You may have a firewall or some protection preventing you to reach the destination.
      You may want to try from another location or computer

    Can you help me resolve an issue? I got the free workbook in my email but Bitdefender tried to block the link because it said it was an untrusted webpage. Also, after I downloaded the workbook, Excel has a red bar at the top and says Microsoft has blocked the macros because the source of the file is untrusted. Excel won't even let me mark the file as trusted. Any ideas?

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi and thanks very much. I can assure you it is safe as I have programmed it myself. Bitdefender get's a log of things wrong. Concerning the red bar, as an extra security measure, Microsoft disables macros from workbooks downloaded over the internet. You can fix this once and for all by following the steps I have outlined on this page www.excelforfreelancers.com/how-to-fix-macro-blocking-issue/ I hope this helps and thanks so much.
