In all honesty the show was truly horrible. From the washrooms to the lack of overall amenities. Wait times. Dj annoyance. Parking issues. Poor audio. Poor screens. It was as if it was the first time a show was being put on. People even left early. Butttt Machels performance was excellent and memorable. I truly believe he could have been the only performer and nobody would have complained. $800 across the board one show,one performer(Machel) for 3 hours would have been perfect. In the end Machel made millions in a few hours and patrons many of us left extremely unhappy and thats not cool.
I can imagine the frustration of patrons who went early. I got there around midnight, and was shocked that Machel hadn’t started to perform as yet. I didn’t think the show was horrible, but noticed that the band was not well rehearsed. There were issues with the sound system, and I was disappointed that the pans were not audible during the respective performances. IMO the guest artistes did a great job and did what they could have done despite the challenges for the night.
