I haven’t played the game for almost 5 years and never tried to get max gear as a mostly solo player last time. So coming back to the game looking at other guides for level 80 gearing, they were pretty overwhelming. This was great. Really simplified the process 👌
I tell you the truth, I play solo and that’s all I play. I preferred it that way. I’m glad that you gave this video because as mentioned by another comment, I’ve been out of the game for a long time and when I came back I was completely overwhelmed and felt like solo players were frowned upon. And really all of the tips I found out there, were based on groups. So, I am glad I found this video. I finally made it to level 80, my first time and I want to up my characters strength/power so I can be more effective. I just want to enjoy the game and the stories, that’s what brought me to the game in the first place. Cheers!
Hey! I'm really glad this helped you 😊. I also play mostly solo so I always try to find stuff like this. I made an update to this video that makes a couple of corrections based on things that have changed in the game since then too. Thank you for watching and drop a sub for mode guides! 💜
Same here, I play for the story and do all content solo except for flashpoints which I play for gear. Since 7.0 flashpoints give very poor rewards unfortunately. And I hate the idea of having to do operations to gear up. I can't be bothered to manually find a group and run through a dungeon full of insane mobs for just a chance of getting a high rank piece of gear. They ruined the gearing aspect of the game for me.
@@CephalonKet I've seen it, too bad the highest level gear is still locked behind an operation. I don't have a problem with only subscribers having access to the best equipment but I simply dislike operations, and even if I resubscribed (I am preferred), operations would be a chore for me.
Just to make sure I got the steps right: 1) Start farming galactic starfighter weeklies for WZ-1 accelerants. 2) Farm heroics for daily resource matrixes 3) Once you have some, purchase thyrsian 316 basic gear 4) Continue grinding the weeklies and heroics to be able to upgrade the thyrsian pieces. 5) upgrade them gradually all the way to rating 328 6) Go to Hyde and Zeek for the quest and do a master flashpoint weekly to get a piece of 330 gear to deconstruct. This will unlock all the mods that can be purchased for credits only. 7) Fully kit out in 330 gear except for the relics and the ear piece, make sure they are rating 328. 8) Run another Master Flashpoint weekly with the ear piece and relics at the lowest rating to guarentee it dropping a 330 ear piece or relic. Do this a couple of times until you get everything at level 330. I think that's it?
You are adding extra steps that you don't have to do. Buy 320 conquest gear from the conquest vendor, and then the PvP or galactic Starfighter weeklies to upgrade one at a time with the weekly box. Eventually you will also be able to manually upgrade a piece of PvP gear from scratch to lessen the grind. When you reach 328, switch to what I say in the 7.1 330 video
@@CephalonKet I'm still a little confused. I can't upgrade the conquest gear with the pvp WZ-1 tokens, so why go for conquest gear at all? Or do you mean that I should mix conquest gear with pvp gear so I can spread my resources and upgrade both at the same time?
I think you are confused because you haven't started doing it in practise yet. I also mention in the videos that a thyrsian box upgrades your gear regardless of your original gear. Maybe seeing it for yourself in game will help
@@CephalonKet ok so I did some starfighter weeklies and I got the conquest 320 gear. I also got some thyrsian boxes now. I read somewhere that I should keep those unopened until I reach irating 328 so I can immediately get an upgrade to 330 when I open them. But how do I get from 320 to 328 without having to spend loads of commendations and daily matrixes? The pvp tokens can only upgrade pvp gear, so not sure what to do with them. In the video you say to buy pvp gear and upgrade it, but doesn't that replace the conquest gear I just got? So what is the conquest gear for then? I'm so confused. Thanks for your answers btw. I'm just trying to comprehend what I'm not seeing
Hi sorry, was not notified about your comment. So there are a few things you seem to not have understood, or forgotten about since you watched the videos since I already explain the path you need to take in them. You cannot go from 328 to 330 with thyrsian boxes at the moment. The pvp boxes only go up to 328 in 7.1. PVP gear (thyrsian) is the fastest path to going to 328. So open the thyrsian boxes and you don't need to spend commendations and daily matrixes, you get a free upgrade. You can also use the pvp tokens to manually upgrade the pvp gear but you don't have to, you can just keep getting more thyrsian boxes. After you get to 328, you need to follow the instructions of my latest 7.1 video again. I detail various ways to go about it then. But do not worry about that yet. You seem to still have lower rating gear. Focus on getting to 328 first. Take it one step at a time and rewatch the videos if you forget what you need to do.
3:05 "who cares about this" 🤣 I used to play this game alot, but recently stopped. Your video really helps alot as a solo player as well. I want to try to find a guild but I do have 2 jobs and I don't play like I used to, and I always get kicked from a guild cause I wasnt on for 2 days straight. I want to join a guild cause I want to do ranked pvp so I can get the black silver crystal cause doing solo rank is kinda hard and everyone is so toxic 🤣
Never heard of getting kicked for not being online for a couple of days, your previous guilds must have really been something! Good luck with finding a ranked PvP group!
Hello thank you, question: being that is pvp doesnt it give stats only for pvp? Or it doesnt matter because purple is better than higher “solo” pve blue gear
Hey! It used to be that PvP gear was meant for PvP and the stats reflected that. However in the latest update the new gear stats are the same type regardless of the gear path you take. So you will get the effect of the stats on all content 🙂. Hope this helps!
@@CephalonKet helps a lot! I remember in the past when there was pvp exclusive gear that was useless in pve and viceversa and I thought they returned tl that system, good that they didnt haha. Thank you so much!

i'd do this but all the keys to memorize for this i just felt overwhelmed and i hate pvp. i just stayed in one area and people got angry but i don't care for this in swtor.

I don't think we're getting moddable gear yet, I think they are just increasing the max irating for the non op gear.

I understand. Starfighter can be a bit overwhelming at first. If you say you are new in the chat it should be okay if you take your time.

Why fast? For Pvp?
Fast for those that want to get it out of the way as quickly as possible without as much grinding as the current conquest gear route.
