I’ve never seen anything like this from a HIGH SCHOOL group. I can only imagine how supportive the school must be for the school musical program. AMAZING! The kids are unbelievable!
Oh, please, please, please, please, please never go private with this video. I have watched this show countless times and have to be truthful. I've been very privileged and lucky to have seen this show on Broadway, touring groups, and, thanks to youtube, has allowed me and others to watch high school and other amateur productions. This is hands down THE BEST Mamma Mia! version I have ever seen. I could watch this forever and never be bored. This proves that just because things like this are on Broadway, doesn't mean that Broadway gives the best version of this musical or any other. Bravo and kudos to everyone involved with this show. Absolutely amazing!
Yes, fantastic singing, acting and performances from a young amateur group. But I wouldn't get carried away and say it's better than a professional performance. Consider the encore. First the stage was two crowded. Next, professional dancers perform much more physically aggressively (since they have the room to do so). And each such dancer gives an individual performance, with his or her own distinctive personality, yet is still part of an ensemble which is seamlessly choreographed together, which is not the case with this young group. But no doubt they have the talent to do so, if that's what they want to do.
