What's crazy is if you listen to Lu's verse on this and watch the Runaway film, his verse parallels Kanye's relationship with the phoenix he was in love with. It just hit me. LOL
Lupe Fiasco went over alot of peoples heads when he came out .. Food and Liquor was way ahead of its time and I don't think the people were on his level yet .. +Preem Clientele Right. Lupe has Tetsuo and Youth, The Cool, and Food and Liquor which are undeniable classics. I also like Food and Liquor 2 but it seems like a lot of people didn't like it as much. Nas has Stillmatic, Illmatic, and It Was Written. I also really like Distant Relatives and Lost Tapes, but once again their not mentioned a lot.
Like what the other guy said, Lupe is lightyears ahead of punchline rappers, he's been incorporating crazy metaphors into songs with a meaning since the Fahrenheit mixtapes. The rest are just throwing random punchlines around in there verses to sound good.

Yea Big Sean had a couple good rhymes in control and Jay's verse was really good. But I like how Kendrick just felt like tearing it up, not even just calling out everyone, but he had really good tone and some crazy rhymes but I usually prefer a verse like Jay's though

Yea Big Sean had a couple good rhymes in control and Jay's verse was really good. But I like how Kendrick just felt like tearing it up, not even just calling out everyone, but he had really good tone and some crazy rhymes but I usually prefer a verse like Jay's though
