Hi Tammy! this is the first time I’ve ever left a comment for anyone! My husband and I did this tonight. The same painting. Paint and water only. And we got cells just like that. All the struggling for cells all the product used. Paint and water. You are an absolute genius! Thank you so much!
Tammy, I watch you almost exclusively. I have learned so much from you! This paint and water is miraculous. I did this painting and it’s one of my very favorite paintings I’ve ever done. I don’t know what ratio of paint you used. I just winged it and it really really worked. But I didn’t have an exact ratio.I’m still amazed that this works! Thank you so much for experimenting. I’ve learned so much from you. Thank you!
so glad you showed the mess, I thought I'd be the only one. I just started and have wasted more paint on me, on scraping, etc. Thank you for showing even experts like yourself can get messy. Thank you. I'm going to keep trying. Its been only a few weeks since I started. Still working on consistent paint mixing. Your video reall y helped on that. This was really a beautiful swipe.
You make me so happy by just listening to you talk. I have silent seizures which effect my right arm movement . The silent part is I never know when it’s going to jerk out to the side. So I don’t fight it, it’s my signature move ❣️ The cardboard is my trick for making grass in my gardens. Lord knows I can’t draw a straight line.🤣
This has got to be the most fun way to learn something! I've made many a mistake dear but who cares I haven't had such a great time in year's 👍👵🇭🇲 you've helped an old Nanna keep faith haha 🙏
But, I do this because I can't afford the mixing mediums until payday, and I actually use more paint in less time. She adds more, but I know for acrylic paint you should never mix more than 30% water. More than that undermines the paint and the artwork won't stand the test of time, resulting in fading, cracking and peeling. So, I guess it's up to the user, but what seems like an economical solution is actually damaging to the end product.
Thanku so much, Tammy. Your paintings provide me with such inspiration to continue my own artwork that is very similar to yours but achieved at a much slower rate & for the purpose of helping people use my intended coloring books for their health & well-being. The natural flow is The Way!!!!
It will dry Perfect the same way Rinskes Dutch pours dry ... that's all she uses is water & paint ....nothing else ..as long as you don't use more than 35% water or something close to that then it doesn't mess with the binders in the paints or cause cracking or anything . But if you are doing a pour where you do not want any cells then you definitely want to use a pouring medium . I have a hard time getting the consistency in my colors the same when using water only and it drives me nuts lol. Its definitely not as easy as it looks . 😉😉😉😉😉😉
Wow! this is amazing, who would think that just paint and water would turn into a nice painting. Thank's I enjoyed watching your video. Have a good evening.
Anyone with a grain of sense knows it’s not new, that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. A stunning piece, we shall all be doingpaint and water from now on!
your painting turned out great Tammy and I do like those beautiful cells.Tfs as always and I love watching all of your vids. It's amazing to see the reaction of just water and paint. You nailed a wonderful piece. Lovin the colours too.
Beautiful!!! And thank you for this video, because I want too try the acrylic pour painting but on a limited budget and thought I couldn't afford too, till I watched this. :)
I am so glad I have found this video! I was just about to give up as I don't like using silicone and Floetrol is just too expensive down here in S.Africa and difficult to get! I am definitely going to try again!💛😘
Thanks Tammy, that is something I really need to start doing. Im so rusty with my art. I think I told you it has been over 20+ years since I have done any form of art. So every day I'm going paint something.
Please do. It helps me so much mentally. It really does wonders for the soul. Even if I make something that comes out horrible just playing and mixing the paints provides more therapy for me than any professional could.😘❤❤
I have RA too, can't do a ring pour to save my soul!😂 I think most of us with chronic illness have the best sense of humor (we have to laugh) and you always cheer me up with yours! Your painting came out so pretty. Hope you'll show us the dried results! Hugz from Az 💕💖💕💖💕💖🏜🤠
I worked 6 MONTHS trying to get good concentric circles w a ring pour! I have an essential tremor and even if I take my pill- I shake SO bad : I can't pour with my dominant hand...........good thing I've always been mostly ambidextrous cuz- the 1st time I tried w my non-domina t hand = VOILA.........
Something I have found that helps me is to do alternating ice and hot water baths before I pour (or anything where I need more refined movements or grip strength) is I fill the two sides of my sink up deep enough that I can submerge my hands while making fists. One side with ice water, the other side quite warm. I do a couple minutes at a time each side. Starting with cold, ending with warm. 2-4 rotations, depending on how impatient I am. While my hands are submerged I gently make fists releasing and squeezing several times to get the blood moving, and clear out inflammation. If I’m feeling extra productive, I’ll also lotion up my hands and put in plastic gloves to soften them up while I’m doing this. It’s so dry here with forced air heat running 24/7.
Tammy you are amazing!!! Your explanations are so clear and informative. I think I’ve learned more from you and you have encouraged me to try a channel and experiment myself.
This is cool! I've been trying to say all along that both water and AIR (not bubbles but air that is incorporated in to the paint as we stir) leads to cells.
Your swipes are always so beautiful! I can’t do one to save my soul. I tried the house paint bloom technique to no avail. I ended up with paint on my clothes, in my hair, and on my face 😉. You make it look so easy! 👍🏼❤️
Amazing Tammy !!! a Yankee swipe with a touch of Dutch !!! Hahaha. What started out as a not so good day for you ended up very beautiful !!! Congrats to you !!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching you test & experiment and you come up with the coolest ways to do them. !! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

How does Rinse Douna get over that. She uses 40 to 50 percent water.

Looks almost like a river pour! Beautiful colors and look at those gold cells! Love this so much 💜
yes if that line had been a lighter blue would have reminded me of a creek in winter frozen over
Beautiful Tammy. So many different cells. Reminds me of a melting iceberg or a snow melt of the extreme north..

I drop too! It is surprising the number of air bubbles that appear and then pop using this method
That is great thank you
