Thank you for saying so, Priscilla. They’re all really laid back and cool guys. They have a very natural love of music and are very intuitive players. They’re very tight with each other musically. It was such fun to hang out with them. Thank you for watching and commenting.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
That was a happy ending by pulling out that last minute win! Happy to see that you got to reconnect with your buddies again. Those little magical moments everyone can reminisce on. Have a fun day John
Yes…..I was lucky to pull that one off at the end😅. I was in a hurry to get to my plane, and not knowing if they would allow a tripod to film, I hand held it to film a little bit of the high limit play. I really dislike doing that because it’s so distracting for the viewers to watch it like that, plus; it gets very tedious & tiring to play one-handed too. And, of course, the moment you put the phone down “to rest”, along comes a good hit. Go figure, right?! Thanks for watching, Jiro. Hello, to Jasmin. Keep up the great work on your channel, you’re doing so well!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Greetings from Mom's house in Torrance! What a fantastic trip! Got to win a little money and spend time with friends. Unfortunately, you won't see us for a while. Mom fell and broke the heel of her left foot. She had to have surgery yesterday (everything looks great according to the doctor) and needs to heal for the next few months. It's going to be like covid again, where we stay at home, but I'm hoping if things go well, maybe in a month or two I can wheel her around the casino. I am constantly reminded in life that you have to appreciate the little things in life (like standing) My Mom laughed when I told her that if we don't go, I'm still up a thousand from my Royal! Hope you are doing well and wishing for the best for you! Take care sir!
It’s always great to hear from you, Paul, you’re a treasured friend. Please extend my best wishes to your mother and for a speedy, less painful recovery. She has always impressed me with her sharp mind, her youthful spirit, polite ways and her incredible video poker skills. She raised a great son in you, and I’m so happy that she’s in your care. God bless you both. Take care my good friend.❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker Thank you John! Mom loves hearing you in your videos. She always says "John has such a nice voice" She also Thanks you and wishes the best for you! Take care sir!
Hi Tony. Yes, I was lucky to get out of there alive only being up $350-$400. I think I’ll get a mini gimbal-tripod so I can stabilize the image better when I film freehand. Thanks for watching and for your comments.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Thank you. I was just hoping to re-coup my up front losses & skedaddle on out of there. I was fortunate to win it all back (albeit last minute😅) and walked with $350-$400. Whew!😁🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Thank you for your feedback, Bill. It’s always good to hear about what people like or don’t like in order for me to expand beyond “just my play” if there is a broader interest from the viewers. I always appreciate your comments.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
The drummer, Mike, and I served aboard the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Forrestal, while in the Navy, in the 1970’s. We used to play guitar all the time together. Now, here we are 48 years later, picking up where we left off and it’s just like old times. He invited me to his band practice, so I figured that I’d film some of it. They’re a great bunch of guys and they play out on weekends in Tampa, Florida. “Blues to Burn”. Thank you for your comment & viewership, Dakota.🎸🔥🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Thank you, Curtis. I mentioned to them that I’d like to hear a blues version of “Move On Up” by Curtis Mayfield. Thank you for your comments. Take care my friend.🎸🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

@@johnsworldofvideopoker that would be awesome! We’ll be at the casino July 13. I live in Wyoming so the rest of the trip will be dedicated to the ocean 🌊
That would be awesome! Even though it was out of my way on a trip, I passed through Lubbock, Texas once, just to pay my respects to Buddy Holley and to see his statue there. Texas has some of the most hospitable folks that I’ve ever met. And, of course, there’s no finer breakfast or BBQ to found anywhere than in the Lone Star state. Thank you for watching and for the invite, should I pass your way, I would definitely swing by and whip out some blues with you!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I consider myself lucky where I play in Reno I get 8/5 bonus on quarters, single line anyway.Usally what I play unless I start winning then I jump over to 9/7 TDB,just have to know when to say when,Good Luck!
Yes…We’re spoiled down here in SoCal at Pechanga, where we’re fortunate to have 8/5 BP at every denomination available from nickels, dimes, and quarters all the way up to the $100 coin denomination. We have 9/7 TDB, 9/7 DB, & 9/6 BPD at nearby Pala. A video poker paradise.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Don’t really understand that,The Indian casinos in NorCal only have decent video poker at dollor denom.Quarters I only get 6/5 bonus, below that a royal pays 1,500 credits! Its sad since I live 6 min away!Anyway good luck to you!
@billjones4986 Yes….the casinos are getting more & more stingy as time goes on. Eventually that will drive everyone away. Harrah’s SoCal used to be a premiere property down here, now (in terms of video poker) it’s a ghost town. The pay tables are horrible. Everyone has shifted over to Pechanga & Pala now. Hopefully the “market shift” will bring the bean counters back to their senses. Of course, this wild inflation hasn’t helped any! Good luck up there, Bill. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
We were at this casino last weekend and lost our hineys. I tried several different machines and couldn’t catch a break. My only decent hit the whole time we were there was double super times pay three line nickels and got quad aces. But of course I was playing nickels. 😂
I almost lost my shirt to them too😂 and I was really pressed for time to get to the Tampa airport just in time at 3:00am to catch a flight. I was just hoping to re-coup my losses with a last minute, Hail Mary, in the High Limit room. And I know what you mean, we switch to a lower denomination and then lightening strikes! Thank you for the details in your story and for watching. Take care, Misty. You’ll Knock’em out next time. Have fun!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
A 7/5 BP pay table is a little tighter, for sure, but if it is the only pay table available, it’s not too bad and a lot of money can still be one from it. But, of course, I’ll go play 8/5 BP pay table where ever it’s found.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I prefer not to play 7/5 BP. I’ll only do so when it’s the best pay table that they have in a given casino. I have won over $70,000+ playing them back in the day at Harrah’s SoCal. My best run of 3 Royals, in 3 hours, for $110,000 was started on a 7/5 BP at Harrah’s SoCal on a 50¢ coin denomination for a $2,000 Royal, then transitioned to an 8/5 BP pay table on the $2 coin denomination at the same casino for an $8,000 Royal, then left Harrah’s SoCal casino for Pala casino (a few miles away) where I hit a $100,000 Royal on an 8/5 BP pay table on the $25 coin denomination. All of this was done, off of a single $100 Bill, which was won off of $15 in free play, on a 7/5 BP pay table at Harrah’s SoCal, a few weeks before. That’s a wildly crazy run, but it happened, and it all started on a 7/5 BP pay table. It’s all detailed on my channel in the video listed: $100,000 Video Poker Jackpots for John’s World & Slotmassacre. I know it’s a once in a million years shot, but it happened. I consider the 7/5 BP pay table a “medium pay” pay table. But I’ll always seek out and play an 8/5 BP pay table when it’s available.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
That is my exact point…why play 7-5 when nothing else is available…just walk away and look for better opportunities. On average you will get about 11 full houses in an hour (depending on how fast you play) that’s $55 per hour lost or giving away. My comment was made to keep people away from crap pay tables and not giving casinos any more edge than they already have
I agree with you that, as video poker players, we are not doing ourselves any favors by rewarding casinos for inferior pay tables. I exclusively play the 8/5 BP pay tables and go out of my way to support the casinos that provide the best pay tables possible, such as: Pechanga, Pala, Red Rock, Durango, Caesars, Resorts World, Wynn, South Point, Palace Station, etc. I never play a 6/5 BP pay table. On occasions where I happen to be at a casino with friends, and the only pay table available is a 7/5 BP pay table, I’ll play it and cash out when I’m “up” on the casino. That’s my way of “rewarding them” by taking their money in spite of their, medium pay, pay table. I rarely visit any casinos that offer horrible pay tables, and spend even less time at all (if any) on their inferior pay table machines.🌎
