If He hasn’t already, I pray God allows you to see this side of Heaven, the massive impact and value you are to the worldwide Body of Christ. His songs are just poetic and the music very good but nothing more. He has driven hillsong music on the wrong side. Why cant he just sing simple christain song like the way hiilsong music were when darlene and reuben were main architect. Sometimes u just wonder what he is saying in his songs - a good example is glorious ruins. I appreciate the songs of ben fielding , reuben morgan much more. Infact , the they cant compare in terms of depth and simplicity of christain lyrics. Simple and points more to the praise of God rather all these songs about our emotions and struggles with sin that appeals to our emotions. Now he is dominating the hillsong music and messing up everything for the sake of poetry

This song allowed me to realize that I am not alone on my journey with Christ, making mistakes on my journey is normal and I’m still loved. I thought that I was the only one who had a hard time surrendering myself to Christ fully and changing my action. But still when I’m ready he is there to catch me.

"Reconciling my shadow" that got to me. Joel should talk more about that
He should. I was confronted by the shadow in an out of body experience. I tried to fight it and run from it. It began a 15 year journey of looking for answers and help in all the wrong places: theosophy, Eastern mysticism, new age stuff. That path nearly destroyed everything precious in my life, including my health. It turns out that all I needed to do was pick up the Bible and turn to Jesus. The shadow is no match for the light of Jesus and the love of The Holy Spirit.
Watched this earlier this morning and I was on the verge of tears. Not sad tears but thankful tears. I've been in and out of seasons of self-doubt, lack of confidence, lack of purpose and so on. Each of those seasons leading to deep depression. But I am so glad that this song was written. And I'm so glad I listened to it and knew immediately that this was my victory song because of God's never-ending, never failing love for me. It's so amazing how God's love for me was so huge that it kept me literally alive and I cannot take that for granted. Joel, Ben and Matt, thank you for coming together to write this song. Tulele, thank you for leading this song with such authority and passion. Hillsong United, thank you for all that you do. Much love!!!

I feel like me and my hubby and his brother were a part of praying Joel through. We didn't know specifically what he was going through but the Holy Spirit was really showing us specific things to pray about. Now it all makes sense. After the album was finished the burden lifted but while we had it it was intense. That is how intercession works. And I have to say I am blown away by Tuele!

When im hearing the journey and stories of this song, the feeling of Jesus that really want me to know the reality of human life is and we cannot leave outside of Him. Our life journey is like hiking the mountain, going down to the valley and sometimes swimming across the lake. At the end of the our everyday journey, we need Jesus and we have He want us to have faith to Him every step. God bless and im grateful can share this to us.

I relate to second guessing ourself and our ministry after being there for so long... we wonder there's still impact to what we're doing and if there's more in us to give... Then we come to remember that it's not about what we can do, and it's never been. But whether about what God can do through us. So as long as God has a message for this generation I still wanna be the voice in the desert. Your testimony, Joel has such an impact on me because it made realise if one of the greatest worship leaders of this time felt unfit for this position, just as I do, it confirms that only God qualifies the people He wants to use to serve his glory.
This Song touched me 100 %. Im still in that place where I feel this way but every time listen to the song it breaks something in me and then builds up back space for God's love to pour into more. I have been so low, I've been so broken and I've been to the point where I thought I've had it all together, but God never left me, He never gave up on me, He fought for this orphan, He chased this lost sheep, He welcomed this prodigal son back into His loving arms and home with joy in His heart!
I was so lost and broken, I clung to alcohol and self-harm, I lived recklessly but God loved me so much, He didn't want to leave me where I was. He took me as I was and loved me until I was whole again.
Now I know people who are walking through valleys, but God is with them and I know He won't leave them there either, how I know that? Well, His love is too good to leave us 💜

I’ve been going through the same season, it’s like if God put this song in perfect timing for my heart and soul, it has literally shown me what Gods love truly is cause we never really admit that we build our selves up and fall apart in a moment but Gods love is incomparable, this is exactly what I’ve been going through I lost my dad in November of last year he was sick for a long time and we had to see him suffer everyday it was devastating, I try to be happy cause he doesn’t have to suffer anymore but the images of how he suffered and the scene that happened when they took him to the hospital makes me fall apart right away, thank you so much for this song, I don’t feel alone in this, thank you for admitting that we all fall apart in an instant but God still wants our hearts I listen to this song everyday and it’s always different and I cry everytime i hear it God speaks to me so clear with this song 🙏🏼 thank you! 💜 I love you guys!!

Exactly what I have been going through for quite some time now. A part of me thinks that I am lost but then at the end I am always reminded that I am in God's hands. This is just part of the process.
