Hey Gurdians! This is a video about how to choose your hurdy gurdy if you want to perform on stage. There are a lot of different factors that go into that decision. I am giving you some of what I think to be the most important details.

even keyboards on the pc have a thing on the J key to help to know where on the keyboard you are. or even old phones had it on the key 5 so makes alot of sense

Ahhhhh..., Patty darlin'! You are a joy always here on TH-cam. Effervescent, earnestly personal & keen to who / what you are & do to better yourself, grow & mature with your gurdys. I for one learned, (remembered) that wood instruments "are" effected by slight to heavier atmospheric conditions & that attention must be regarded. The black key ends...? There's a new paint out there that's soooo black it doesn't reflect any light at all & too obvious to not see. Look into that... ? Love ya, stay safe & true.

Sehr interesant. The points of super glue remind me of the bumps on a qwerty keyboard, on the letters f and j. That is how I type with my eyes on the scrèen. I should do the same on my piano 🤔😃

This video is certainly not useful for me( I don’t play the hurdy-gurdy), but it is absolutely FASCINATING Patty!
Four or five years ago I came across this beautiful little song called “Gurdy’s Green” and I have been mesmerized ever since. The song was gorgeous course, but the instrument was intriguing. Your non-music videos explained what I was seeing and I have been a huge fan ever since.
Whenever I introduce someone to your music Patty, I make a point of describing you as not only a “gurdiest” and beautiful singer, but as a “hurdy-gurdy ambassador”. Most Americans are unfamiliar with the hurdy-gurdy (many don’t even know that it’s a musical instrument), and I ALWAYS point them in the direction of your wonderfully informative and entertaining videos.
Thank you SO much for bringing the world of hurdy-gurdy music to my doorstep Patty! I hope you can tour the US soon. I will definitely be there cheering you on! 🎶💚🎶 🥰

Very interesting info. I must admit I've never played a hurdy gurdy before, but I would love someday to learn. I've play guitar, electric and acoustic. My father played guitar, fiddle and banjo. I would expect the wood and carbon hurdy Gurdy would be like the difference between an electric and acoustic guitar There might be a difference in the quality in sound between the wood and carbon hurdy gurdy.I love the sound of the hurdy gurdy though. A lot of folk metal bands use the hurdy gurdy like Eluveitie and Faun which I love!

Hey, which one were you playing in your Game of Thrones vid 5 years ago? I just LOVE that one. I am assuming and HOPING that ONE sounds very similar. Cuz when I first heard it (earlier this year), I fell in love with it. Then just NOW, I saw your description that it was multiple recordings for different melodies put together, which don't get me wrong, sounds beautiful, but I was basing my love for the sound on that vid. So I am really hoping that just one of them sounds similar. Also, whichever one it is, and it looks like the carbon one, if it is, where can I get it? I am about to save up for one, and I want to go expensive. Assuming that one is.
