I'm an apologist from South Africa and I agree with you about African preachers. Unfortunately the face of Christianity in Africa is Pentecostal, New Age, NAR, Total Charasmania. BUT, unfortunately we did inherit it from America. 😄 We do have some brilliant Reformed Preachers, but they are very very few. Pray for us we need it.

Being newly coming out of the charismatic movement. Your videos have been so helpful in assisting me in understanding context of scripture. I was a depressed "Christian" and trying to constantly be delivered from "the spirit of depression." No matter what I did it was not enough faith, secret sin, and the list goes on and on as to why I was not being delivered. It was always my fault as to why I was still struggling. In fact the very beliefe system I thought was making me free was actually causing the bondage and depression. It has been a year since I left my former church and I am finally starting to feel better.

Really well said, with this message. They even admit people just keep coming back and never get freed. That's because that's all they preach is deliverance. They think every sinful thought is a demon. Seriously if they took out the music and the deliverance what what would they do for hours? The problem is most Americans were raised on TBN and the prosperity gospel in the 90s and 2000s. If that's all you ever hear or see you would think that's the gospel.
Most of my deliverances are walked out over time. God reveals things that I allow (open doors) and once truth has been presented (typically through my pastor’s sermons, speaking to me, allowing situations to occur) I am able to make adjustments and allow the Word of God to show me how to move the way He desires.
2 Tim 3 v 1 - 9 describes the characteristics of the Church in the last days . Having the form of godliness but denying the power of God...They are the Tares in Matt. 13 v 24 --30 they seem alike but they are fake . They will be burnt to ashes if they fail to repent

But when I first started doing my over 40 video series, part of the reason why I started the series is because I had scanned TH-cam and found that most of the videos out there were in support of the claim that Christians can have indwelling demons. Now more people are coming out and teaching against this doctrine, like brother Corey, but even he just started on this topic, while my video count on the topic is 40+ The "deliverance" teachers have all kinds of arguments and misapplications and distortions of Scripture, and in the series I try to address ALL of their claims and excuses they come up with to attempt to justify this false doctrine, so that people will know the truth and not be deceived.
I went to a deliverance conference in the summer featuring the demon slayers. It was a piping hot mess of theology. Safe to say we left our church shortly after 🙃

These deliverance ministries remind me so much of the prosperity gospel. I do believe in deliverance. I look at what Jesus did and he went around delivering people. But he never held a conference. He just touched the people he came in contact with.
Beyond excellent teaching brother Corey. I'm amazed after spending almost 50 years in the charismatic church that it's taken me so long to know the truth of what were actually lies being told to me. I recently was told by my old pastor that he believed I was being influenced by someone. I said yes but it's actually more from MY desire to be a good Berean. They can't understand truly want to seek out the truth of God's word in context. My desire is that one day I can afford to get a Logos program for my computer. My wife has terminal cancer and she enjoys listening to you and others and watching me read and research the Word. Hey brother sorry to hear about your wife, there are some good free resources online for studying the Word, also there are some free classes online, thirdmill, Hinsdale and Dallas theological seminary... not sure if i am spelling it right, but yeah hope this helps. I have Logos, i just bought the 49.95 version 9 very basic, and to be honest I barely use it and I mostly use Bible gateway which is like 5 bucks a month. okay take care and may the Lord be with you and your wife, your entire family and bless yall where you need it most. I had a personal experience with my dad he had stage 4 cancer my mom called me at 7 in the morning he was stuck on the toilet for already 30mins before I got there I went to pick him up he was like a limp noodle not my first time with a dead body either yes I checked his pulse as well. I can’t tell you not one of my siblings were read so like Jesus did to Lazarus I through the power of the Holy Spirit He came back to life for 12hours. Curious … Do you read 1 Corinthians 12-14 and think Paul was *praising* the Corinthians for how they displayed the gift of tongues??? Do you skip over chapter 13 ? There is no such thing as a private prayer language. It’s all made up. Find a single NON pagan example of this babbling documented in church history prior to the 1800s. You won’t find one. This new version/definiton of tongues was INVENTED after the missionary fiasco of the Pentecostal church in the early 1900s. Well documented. Don’t get me started. I’m an African myself and left my church in March after God’s grace leading me to a sound church. My friend and I did not take a second to look back. We left like we didn’t know them.
Being an African too it amazes how hard it is to find a church were it's not deliverance ministries. It's heartbreaking how little bible is involved in the services
I used the G3 ministries church finder and some of my colleagues have used Founders ministries church finder to locate solid churches in their state/city. I'm grateful to have found the church I attend now. My friend and I are the only two black folks in the entire congregation and I tell people all the time our goal should be to be part of a Christ-centered church and not cultural centered church.@@116stuart

I received a deliverance for some issues 9-10years ago and never had to suffer from the same issues! I first came across you in 2023 when I tuned into a debate you had with Marcus Rogers about speaking in tongues (I think it was with him). It was a good debate, but it was clear that you were cut off when talking, and he flat out, just resented your appearance and would barely let you get your point across. Over these past few days, I've been watching your content, and i must stay, i have much respect for you. I've been corrected in my theology and what I've been taught. I've come out of the Word of Faith movement and lately the NAR movement. The last church I went to a woman is head pastor, and her husband is the Co-Pastor. I never felt comfortable about that, but they are nice people, so I shrugged it off and went there anyway....thats a whole other story!! I have so much to unlearn about church and what I've been taught. I can appreciate the way you show the error of many of these charlatans. You really break things down so well. Thank you for bringing clarity, education, and sense by shining the light on the foolishness going on out there!! I like the Bible software you use to study and will be using this in my personal study. I thank God I am now attending a church that moves by the Spirit and not theatrics and charismatic nonsense. I am healing from bad doctrine and church trauma. I spend more time reading and studying on my own now and stopped following these people. I am staying close to God and allowing Him to correct me and open my eyes to HIS TRUTH!!! I have a friend that is gifted with The gift of deliverance. It was just him and myself there. God gets the glory not the vessel he uses.. Deliverance is needed sometimes and I needed it. I had 5 demons attached to me. 1 was actually blocking my prayers. Yes they can do that. Anyway I know some are real but all that extra isn't necessary.

You’re mixing the Old Testament and New Testament, while you’re interpreting scripture through your experiences, very dangerous way to build your theological views.
Theology is the study of God. A systematic way for us to try our best as finite beings to understand an infinite God. I believe in being doctrinally sound with some humility...meaning it is obvious that all of our theology will eventually come up short.

It‘s not evident if the original commenter was already a Christian when his friend prayed for him, but true bible believers can‘t have demons in them, it‘s not possible. The Holy Spirit dwells in us and he’s not sharing space. And what about struggling with and ongoing sin? That‘s where Romans 7 comes into play. Paul says three times that his shortcomings are because of the sin that dwells within him. This is not to be taken as we should delight and take sin lightly, but this grants you the freedom from this theological debacle.

The crazy part about this was…. That myself and my boyfriend decided to go to eat at a restaurant next door to where that was happening and as I was watching people coming into the restaurant I noticed spiritually something was weird so I started to deepen my attention and realized the majority of those people were addicts and people who really were seeking to be delivered from some type of addiction. So when we noticed the Bible’s in the peoples hands that’s when we asked and were informed of what was going on. My boyfriend told me he was feeling weird so I looked up the event And the pastors who were in attendance and immediately the Holy Spirit showed me…. There are people out here PRAYING and SEEKING real deliverance but there are others PREYING AND SEEKING as well. I was so ANGRY because I know what it feels like to want to be delivered and set free and my heart truly went out to them. The Lord will deal with those false teachers accordingly. You do not prey on the weak and vulnerable in this manner. We were offered tickets and immediately someone else said NO WE HAVE NONE! And I thank GOD for that NO because had I went in there and saw this I would have been so disturbed and furious

Quick question, you stated that you saw no evidence of mass deliverance in the Bible, But isn’t this scripture an example of mass deliverance, “There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.”Acts 5:16 KJV. I think what Corey was saying is that there is no example in the bible of a "mass deliverance" as defined by these charlatans, people that are already saved needing evil spirts cast out. Jesus did demonstrate His Divinity to masses of people who then acknowledged Him to be the savior. I'm not aware of any scripture after His death and resurrection, of a person believing in Him and being indwelt with the Holy Spirit needing demons and evil spirits cast out, but they were in need of help with fleshly, worldly desires.

He is an Argentina evangelist that was very active in the 80s and 90s and is still present today but is over 80 years old. when you watch his preaching, and his meetings is very hard to say that the Lord is not present.

The "deliverance" teachers have all kinds of arguments and misapplications and distortions of Scripture, and in the series I try to address ALL of their claims and excuses they come up with to attempt to justify this false doctrine, so that people will know the truth and not be deceived.

Hey brother sorry to hear about your wife, there are some good free resources online for studying the Word, also there are some free classes online, thirdmill, Hinsdale and Dallas theological seminary... not sure if i am spelling it right, but yeah hope this helps. I have Logos, i just bought the 49.95 version 9 very basic, and to be honest I barely use it and I mostly use Bible gateway which is like 5 bucks a month. okay take care and may the Lord be with you and your wife, your entire family and bless yall where you need it most. I had a personal experience with my dad he had stage 4 cancer my mom called me at 7 in the morning he was stuck on the toilet for already 30mins before I got there I went to pick him up he was like a limp noodle not my first time with a dead body either yes I checked his pulse as well. I can’t tell you not one of my siblings were read so like Jesus did to Lazarus I through the power of the Holy Spirit He came back to life for 12hours. Don’t get me started. I’m an African myself and left my church in March after God’s grace leading me to a sound church. My friend and I did not take a second to look back. We left like we didn’t know them.
Being an African too it amazes how hard it is to find a church were it's not deliverance ministries. It's heartbreaking how little bible is involved in the services
I used the G3 ministries church finder and some of my colleagues have used Founders ministries church finder to locate solid churches in their state/city. I'm grateful to have found the church I attend now. My friend and I are the only two black folks in the entire congregation and I tell people all the time our goal should be to be part of a Christ-centered church and not cultural centered church.@@116stuart

I first came across you in 2023 when I tuned into a debate you had with Marcus Rogers about speaking in tongues (I think it was with him). It was a good debate, but it was clear that you were cut off when talking, and he flat out, just resented your appearance and would barely let you get your point across. Over these past few days, I've been watching your content, and i must stay, i have much respect for you. I've been corrected in my theology and what I've been taught. I've come out of the Word of Faith movement and lately the NAR movement. The last church I went to a woman is head pastor, and her husband is the Co-Pastor. I never felt comfortable about that, but they are nice people, so I shrugged it off and went there anyway....thats a whole other story!! I have so much to unlearn about church and what I've been taught. I can appreciate the way you show the error of many of these charlatans. You really break things down so well. Thank you for bringing clarity, education, and sense by shining the light on the foolishness going on out there!! I like the Bible software you use to study and will be using this in my personal study. I thank God I am now attending a church that moves by the Spirit and not theatrics and charismatic nonsense. I am healing from bad doctrine and church trauma. I spend more time reading and studying on my own now and stopped following these people. I am staying close to God and allowing Him to correct me and open my eyes to HIS TRUTH!!! I'm sad. My friend that saved me from death on the streets; with no incentive, reward, etc just enrolled into bethel demon school - or whatever you call it -. He was such a pure christian that his actions helped me convert. So humble he was, but now he wants to exercise demons and is turning into the " god wants you to have this and that" prosperity christian. How do we have this hard conversation with someone we love that are so deep into this "demon exercising" sect?

I have a friend that is gifted with The gift of deliverance. It was just him and myself there. God gets the glory not the vessel he uses.. Deliverance is needed sometimes and I needed it. I had 5 demons attached to me. 1 was actually blocking my prayers. Yes they can do that. Anyway I know some are real but all that extra isn't necessary.
An angel was kept from Daniel for a month trying to get a message to him from God. The angel had to call on another angel to help him fight the prince of persia. The principality of that nation.
You’re mixing the Old Testament and New Testament, while you’re interpreting scripture through your experiences, very dangerous way to build your theological views.
Theology is the study of God. A systematic way for us to try our best as finite beings to understand an infinite God. I believe in being doctrinally sound with some humility...meaning it is obvious that all of our theology will eventually come up short.
@@josephwhite8850Thank you Joseph, this is rational and evidential. It‘s not evident if the original commenter was already a Christian when his friend prayed for him, but true bible believers can‘t have demons in them, it‘s not possible. The Holy Spirit dwells in us and he’s not sharing space.
And what about struggling with and ongoing sin? That‘s where Romans 7 comes into play. Paul says three times that his shortcomings are because of the sin that dwells within him. This is not to be taken as we should delight and take sin lightly, but this grants you the freedom from this theological debacle.

The crazy part about this was…. That myself and my boyfriend decided to go to eat at a restaurant next door to where that was happening and as I was watching people coming into the restaurant I noticed spiritually something was weird so I started to deepen my attention and realized the majority of those people were addicts and people who really were seeking to be delivered from some type of addiction. So when we noticed the Bible’s in the peoples hands that’s when we asked and were informed of what was going on. My boyfriend told me he was feeling weird so I looked up the event And the pastors who were in attendance and immediately the Holy Spirit showed me…. There are people out here PRAYING and SEEKING real deliverance but there are others PREYING AND SEEKING as well. I was so ANGRY because I know what it feels like to want to be delivered and set free and my heart truly went out to them. The Lord will deal with those false teachers accordingly. You do not prey on the weak and vulnerable in this manner. We were offered tickets and immediately someone else said NO WE HAVE NONE! And I thank GOD for that NO because had I went in there and saw this I would have been so disturbed and furious

Quick question, you stated that you saw no evidence of mass deliverance in the Bible, But isn’t this scripture an example of mass deliverance, “There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.”Acts 5:16 KJV. I think what Corey was saying is that there is no example in the bible of a "mass deliverance" as defined by these charlatans, people that are already saved needing evil spirts cast out. Jesus did demonstrate His Divinity to masses of people who then acknowledged Him to be the savior. I'm not aware of any scripture after His death and resurrection, of a person believing in Him and being indwelt with the Holy Spirit needing demons and evil spirits cast out, but they were in need of help with fleshly, worldly desires.

He is an Argentina evangelist that was very active in the 80s and 90s and is still present today but is over 80 years old. when you watch his preaching, and his meetings is very hard to say that the Lord is not present.
