Of the hundred Shoah interviewees I have watched, this one is the most arrogant, sarcastic, and disagreeable by far. The interviewer was so patient and even tempered while dealing with this tough personality!
I’ve listened to several hundred interviews and I find your reaction hard to understand. I don’t detect any arrogance and little sarcasm. I find him trying to be honest and precise with the interviewer. I find her making a great effort also to get things correct. Their conversation was comfortable. There is one instance where he says something negative about a Jewish agency after the war and the dialogue was abruptly stopped and restarted on another subject. Not sure whether this was accidental or intentional.
The man was intelligent and a scholar- nowadays, that gets you called names like 'Stuck Up'. And whatever you do, DON'T use the word sophistication- it's equated with snobbery now. The Dumbing Down of America is a book that warned about the low standards our schools have- too late.
Thank you!! What a privilege to hear his testimony. I was researching for change theory when I landed on this. This was the most life enriching 3:30hr of my life. Again thank you.
I wonder if Yad Vashem honored the Monks that help Mr. Lewin- he has all kinds of proof. If I were Mr. Lewin, I would have used one of the tape changes to have a 'chat' with the interviewer... He is erudite, intelligent and articulate- naturally, some fool below equates this with "arrogance". I hate to think what he'd say about some that can barely remember and keep track. God knows who deserves Mercy, and will dish it out accordingly.
Her questions are impossible. It sounds like she is not listening only thinking of her next question. She needs to listen to him. She doesn’t have a clue about his experience. He is by far more intelligent. I’ve listened to her do other interviews and she never changes her irevelent questions.
Todos os professores que me corrigiam falando "não é Luin e sim Levin" deveriam ver esse vídeo. Corrigir pronuncia ja é chato, ainda mais quando quem corrige que esta errado.
I'm so glad the interviewer kept trying to get the answers. Ended up being a great testimony

Totally agree.
Yep

Always glad to hear when Christians help save the Chosen People as they should.

The interviewer should be fired. She provoked the interviewee with irrelevant questions. She had no inquiry strategy.
My thoughts exactly ! That interviewer is a joke (and bloody annoying)
I love this guy.
Sadly, the meek most often did not survive. This man is a fighter, through and through. G-d bless him for surviving.🌹

He was a lot more patient than I would have been.

but kurt lewin is death in 1947
You are thinking, I suspect, of the social psychologist Kurt Lewin. He passed away in 1947. This is a different person with the same name.
