- Brahms has written some incredibly beautiful pieces of chamber music, especially with clarinet. This set combines the composer’s talent with one of the best clarinet players ever, Karl Leister. Together with the Brandis Quartet he plays all Brahms’s chamber music involving the clarinet. Velvety romantic performances make these recordings all time favourites.

There was another rendition of this piece on youtube. It had just a photo of autumn. Unfortunately don't know who played it. It was wonderful and it disappeared (there are some other with autumn photos, but not that one). Anyone happens to know which one I am refering to, and of course the quintet that played it? It was quite amazing.

I can relate to that. The clarinet does have that light-hearted feeling, likely by design through the ages.
Beautiful; however the strings seem to overpower the great Leister in the quintet, I think.
