    Just because you watch Bill Making Stuff, does not mean you are Bill Making Stuff.
    Watch me transform a pile of junk into a Victorian era industrial machine. This took my time and thought than I initially expected but it
    was a blast! It's my first scratch build from trash but it won't be my last. I have collected a large range of garbage for future builds.
    I painted it by hand using simple techniques and acrylic paint.
    Thanks to Studson Studio and Bill Making Stuff for the inspiration.
    I have been toiling away learning how to film and edit videos for TH-cam. I have lots of projects planned ranging from abandoned miniatures to furniture and Dollhouse Miniatures in multiple scales. I also have a large Harry Potter build planned for 1" scale.
    Please Like, Comment & Subscribe to support my efforts & so you don't miss out on future videos.
    Thank you,
    Shyra

      We really are but it's because we're rewarded for our hoarding. I'm working on finishing the second floor of my 1:144 farmhouse and a Chrysnbon trinket box lid I kept (even though the box is missing) makes the perfect bath tub.
      I swear every time I throw something out these days, I find a use for it later 😆

    i love the "sidewalk trash" - i don't know how many times I've spotted something, walked on and then circled round to go back and pick up the item while trying to look as though i'd realised that i'd dropped something valuable! for people who might be a bit squeamish about picking things off the street, offices and other work places are great as well - lots of bits of things drop down behind drawers of filing cabinets!

      I always think I should bring rubber gloves on walks since I not only pick up bits and bobs for crafting, I also pick up trash and recycling to get them into a bin.

    Just now found this video, I absolutely love this steampunk machine. I have so many found objects that I got from walking with my head down. The collection of "junk" I have is crazy. But you never know when you can use it to make something. I actually started collecting stuff when I was 7 years old. Fortunately I stopped for many years, because I'm now 68 and my collection is, wow! Your humor is awesome.

    It really is awesome. I feel sorry for people that don't have a artist mind. Artist see what could be not what it is. I remember my mother getting angry with me because I was sooooooo mesmerized by a rusted bit of metal. I was maybe 4 or 5 but I remember the texture. It was so rusty in some places it reminded me of heavy sand paper my dad had in his tool box. Bits of red and orange green in places. Think it had copper and iron in it. I wondered what it had been before I saw it

    😮..that is really freaking awsome!...the sidewalk trash..🥰 that's so funny ..I guess that's a thing we people do! I just found one of those metal earring backs with the curled in circles while on a job and was like idk what this is yet but I can use it! 😂 I ment to tell ya..back when I first noticed....I love the little magic tricks your throwing in with the edits. 😊 but seriously this really came out like some sort of machine ..was the struggle real😅 cuz you made it look effortless!❤

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you!
      It's not like the sidewalk trash just catches my eye: I literally walk around looking at the ground hoping to find treasures. People probably think I'm looking for coins but I'm just looking for garbage 😆
      Studson Studio loves using those earring backs as door knobs (although he works in 28 mm scale).
      Thank you! I've been becoming more and more comfortable with editing the longer I do it. I'm self-taught and I've only been editing for 6 months. The learning curve was steep but I'm getting the hang of it.
      It's never as easy as the video shows 😉 I spent a lot of time hemming and hawing which is why I eventually set a timer to get myself moving. Then I decided to just go for it. Worst case scenario, trash becomes actual garbage. I wasn't even sure I liked it before the primer. Then I knew I was onto something.

      If you already hoard trash, you have a great head start! That mad scientist thing sounds cool. Bentley House Minis used beads and other random junk to make a robot in one of her prompt videos. That may give you more ideas.

    🤣two hours for a planned 15-minute job. You sound like my Hubby. But, you're faster than me. It would have taken me two hours to figure out which parts to stick to where needed. Another great video!

    So happy to find out I'm not the only one grabbing trash off the sidewalk! I get some weird looks, but totally worth it. LOVE what you were able to create.

    This is so cool! I‘m definitely going to challenge myself to such a build soon! What kind of primer do you use though?

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually didn't use a primer. I used a cheap black spray paint I had in my garage. It's holding up really well.
