I've been out to Elizabeth Furnace a couple of times over the years. Once to camp with a bunch of church guys when we were young. Once with the kids to picnic and walk around. GW Forest is a great place to get away for a day or two. Have you ever been to Wolf Gap? Below Big Schloss, right on the WVA border. Sunday afternoon through Monday. Deserted, with my pick of a site.
