I don’t understand why everyone is hating on this performance. I love this song too, but people are changing and their ‘styles’ are changing. Here, I can clearly see the passion for this song, especially in Alex and Jamie

There's only so many times you can play the same song over and over again.
They're not the same band they were 12 years ago and that's fine. They just gotta shape their live performances to fit their current style or play old tunes they haven't played in a really long time.
Why are these people criticizing their performance? Appreciate that they're back. With new music and new styles. Fucking ungrateful fans. These guys aren't kids anymore. They're not 19 anymore they're in their early 30s now god damn I'm mad.
I was there that night and we ate the entire show up! As much as I love Arctic Monkeys it's pretty clear that they're a bit rusty, but that's fine considering how long they've been gone. Also this was one of the last songs they performed, so Alex was really tired by this time.

Alesandra Mercado Pues no se si lo hizo a propósito, pero me acuerdo hace unos años que tenían muchos más conciertos, en festivales grandes, con grandes bandas, dejaban todo en el escenario, a pesar del cansancio, y ahora parece que ya no les importa como salgan sus canciones, si van lentas o rápidas, si se equivocan, o no, etc...
Y yo creo que con más razón, cómo llevan tocándola un buen de tiempo, es para que prendieran muchísimo más.
yo sinceramente les agradezco porque lo dicen de una manera respetuosa, actualmente mucha gente que es hasta fanática de la banda los trata horrible. es totalmente lógico que ya estén hartos de la canción si la llevan tocando muchos años skskks

fxrra - I don't think actually anyone was commenting that their right to play their material should be taken away... What I think we're generelly saying is that it's not enjoyable. Not nearly as much as it was before and we the fans enjoyed. Soooo I think they should seriously consider that. If they're tired of playing it a certain way by then changing it up only gets the fans irritated... As an advice I would say drop the song from the setlist and just play what you feel comfortable. It's not enjoyable to see someone struggling with boredom on stage. It's miserable.
