Why did apple make this whole thing so confusing we have been messing with this for 3 months why couldn’t Apple just make 1 pencil that is compatible with all ipads

Okay so when I was trying to connect my sister’s pencil with the little adapter that came with the pencil it didn’t work. It’s not the same as the adapter that’s shown in this video. Apple need to make it clear that what came with the pencil is not the same as this longer adapter. It’s very dumb to not just charge an extra 10 bucks and already have it included!! I hope that made sense. You have to buy the above adapter to successfully pair your pencil.
Read the instructions…..you MUST buy the “Apple” adapter if you’re connecting the pencil to a iPad 10th Gen…. Another fine idea by Apple to make you buy more cables/adapters

Mine will not work at all brand new out the box today. Insanely frustrating because it’s a whole days event just to get into an Apple Store to talk to someone
I have the newest iPad. All you have to do is go to settings connected to Bluetooth first make sure it’s charged then do what he says go to your homepage and unplug it and just start like touching the screen and it works without the wire and I use the generation one.
I bought the adapter and everything and it’s still not working my iPad recognizes the pencil and it says when it’s charging it just won’t connect so I can draw or anything. Whenever I try to connect the pencil thru Bluetooth it says it can’t connect
the video was extremely helpful but everytime he went to use the pencil and it wouldn't work, even after him saying it was dead, made me scream at my computer that the pencil was dead lmfao
Do you get the adapter thing when you buy the pencil?…because I’ve got an awful feeling that my little boy might have accidentally thrown it away when he unboxed it 😳 Also, if I’ve got the pencil with one flat side…is that not compatible with the 10th generation iPad? 🫠
Hi! may i ask if you only need to remove the cover of the apple pencil whenever it needs to charge and not to connect? or does the cover of the apple pencil need to be removed to charge and connect?

They are both Apple official pieces. The cable is from in the box that came with the iPad (usb-c to usb-c) and the dongle is available on apples website (usb-c to lightning adapter).
I did this but in the Bluetooth section thingy, the Apple Pencil just keeps like switching between “connected” and “not connected” like every second WTF DO I DO TO FIX THIS HELP
@@ALQQ hey I got mine fixed and if yours is not working you may need a new like conector to put on the cord and pencil I would recommend going to apple store
This just makes me not want to bother with apple products in the future! Why can’t it be simple plug the USB-C to thunderbolt charger to make it work! More money that Apple forces us to spend
