    Your shelf unit is no longer available. I was bummed because I like the two outside same and inner one spaced wider. I also couldn’t find a shelving unit that was 72”. 70” was the longest and few to choose from. I did find a shelving unit from IKEA that I probably will order at end of month since I have a sofa table 70” coming in a week that needs to be put together and it’s the same as your white one only dark as it matches my ikea living room furniture

    Why do you put the plant in water before transferring to pon? How long do you leave them like that? If you transfer from lecca to pon, do you put in water first too? Thanks! Love the video

    • @plantsbymelissa

      I don't use leca but it's similar to pon. I transfer to water first to lessen any shock they may go through. A lot of the soil roots may end up rotting if you go straight to pon first. A couple weeks in water should be good.

  • @Horsewoman-pt2ku

    I have been using systemic granulars for pest control in my soil and it has worked wonders. I’m wondering if I can put it on top of PON if it will work. My plants in water struggle with pests until put in soil with systemic

    • @plantsbymelissa

      I don't use systemic and I believe it's only good for soil plants.

    Really impressed by the root system of the 3 plants you raised from seeds. Do you fertilize your plants in sphagnum moss once they begin to grow roots?

    • @plantsbymelissa

      So many roots! I was impressed too! The moss was hiding some of them lol I started to gently fertilize them a couple months ago. I started with the GT and watered the moss through with it but for the first few months I just used my regular water 😁

    • @plantsbymelissa

      A month is a good time to let a plant acclimate to your home. If it is in soil I personally would transfer it to water first for a couple weeks then transfer to pon.

I LOVE the way you can stick your finger in the pot, to see how much water is in there. You said you bought them at Target, but I'm in Alberta Canada and we don't have any Targets-----Any ideas on where else I could find them? That is a beautiful Plant you put in there.

    I am feeling like this now...feeling overwhelmed by the amount of tasks that are urgent. My main problem is that others require my time and I keep having to put my plant tasks on the backburner 😩 Thanks for your motivating idea 👌🏼 Will have to lock in a day in the week and block everyone else out 🫣 Your'e so cute when you open each 'surprise' task and the excited response each time hahaha and the 'piou' sound as you're tearing the done task so so cute hahaha 😝I have my Cuprea in pon and she's pushing out new growth already ( it's only been a couple of months) so yours should love it too🤭

    lol I was glad to find my one corn when the plant died. Because I didn’t know if it died or went dormant I kept watering it. Then when I was checking the stump, it fell off. So when I was dumping the old soil out I started looking for corms and I found insight roots on it. So I potted it in stratum. Waiting yo see it grow a top.

  • @tumharesaath

    Don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, but the Adansonii Aurea has Polaroid Variegation, so the variegation is not visible when the leaves first come in, they basically all look green at first. So maybe you still have a lot more potential in all those cuttings and just need to wait and see what becomes of all the new growth once it grows bigger and hardens off?

    By any chance do you know how long it takes for alocasias to produce corms? I have looked everywhere and can’t even seem to find a rough estimate (Iv been watching all your videos and see you have ALOT of alocasias so I was hoping you might have an idea lol)

    • @plantsbymelissa

      It depends, I think some varieties produce more than others. Alocasias that are more established will produce them more quickly. If they're small plants then they just haven't had time to grow enough yet to have corms.

    Fun video! Hey, those wicks do t need to be knotted and trimmed. You shape it into an upside down U and then put each end down through a hole so the ends go in the water. Took me a second to get that on wicking pots lol. And wow, that maranta loves pon! Makes me want to try a maranta again 💚
