Will be returned then and taken. 30 days later a letter arrives and says you must transfer ownership through FFL to non family or they will be destroyed. Still 5 years until allowed a gun. No trial, no defense or court hearing. 1 non apealable request allowed. A lawyer is highly recommended. In crowded S. Commiefornia where Disneyland is close only 3 law firms do this starting at 5k plus and additional eval by the DA's specialist $1,500.00. Not refundable if legal ability to own guns returned. A gun collection kept in a $$$$ safe can be lost for no reason. Happens to many healthy safe owners with no issues. Those with issues are kept not released early and gun rights can be gone for good. Whenever I hear the term "reasonable restriction" it's usually the opposite of reasonable. I often hear the "you can't yell fire in a crowded theater" example, which was originally coined to justify suppressing dissenting speech. The thing is, according to the 1rst amendment, *yes* you can do that. However, if your actions cause harm, you can be held responsible for that harm. That's true with any action, other than withholding aid. If you misuse a firearm and kill someone, you go to jail, just like with any other type of murder. Thus, contrary to what the anti-gun people believe, the 2nd amendment isn't a right to kill. It's merely the right to protect.

Whenever I hear the term "reasonable restriction" it's usually the opposite of reasonable.
I often hear the "you can't yell fire in a crowded theater" example, which was originally coined to justify suppressing dissenting speech. The thing is, according to the 1rst amendment, *yes* you can do that. However, if your actions cause harm, you can be held responsible for that harm. That's true with any action, other than withholding aid.
If you misuse a firearm and kill someone, you go to jail, just like with any other type of murder. Thus, contrary to what the anti-gun people believe, the 2nd amendment isn't a right to kill. It's merely the right to protect.

Bring back the wildlife agents to teach gun safety. return home economics to high schools, cooking and trade classes. There was a reason we had these classes and ran things that way for well over a hundred years before the government stepped in and took over schooling....it worked.

Yup, these politicians say thing in a way to make people feel hopeless. You cant overthrow the gov because it will only be you trying.
But the truth is there will be more and more people willing to fight for freedom as war expanse. Half the military will defect because their not going to fight their family and friends. They also take their military weapons with them as the defect.
I think its important to write this out with specifics because a lot of people dont put this senario into account.

@@Amoogus - I was fortunate enough to have become interested in guns when I was a kid. It must be difficult to learn how to properly handle a gun when you are older. I learned that knowing how to cock the hammer should come as naturally as revving the motor while downshifting. Unfortunates of today prefer autoloading firearms and automatic transmissions. So sad.
It means no laws that contradict restrict or otherwise limit the right of the people to HAVE AND BEAR ARMS........
