This is great teaching, I've listened twice here in Peterborough UK. I know I should rest but I have been brought up as a "doer". What tips do you have to engage and experience rest?

The good news is too good for some to believe. We haven’t known a God that is this good. We still think God is against us because the flesh is enmity against God & we are trying to obey His word in our own strength. “Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart mind soul & strength.” Notice this is not the command Jesus gave. This is the command of the law Jesus fulfilled so that we could enter His rest, knowing we have fulfilled this law in Him. When we believe on Jesus we are loving God. If you love me keep my commandments. What are His commandments? You believe in God, believe also in Me. This is the work of God, that you believe on the One whom He sent. Without faith it is impossible to please God. When we love one another God’s love is perfected in us. You cannot love others until you rest in the love of God poured out in the gift of Jesus. “And this hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.” No longer living according to human knowledge, human wisdom, human experience, human strength. We live according to the knowledge of God in Christ Jesus, the wisdom of God, the strength of God (grace), the power of the Spirit by the hearing of faith in the word of God. When we hear the word of God with faith we cease from our own knowledge & wisdom & human strength & enter His rest, His life, His peace where His grace & His power work mightily in us. This is the testimony of God concerning His Son Jesus which we are ambassadors of, giving witness to the world so that their faith rests in Him, even faith in His name.

This was just a review on Kenosis. Two weeks ago “He Became You Become” we did a deep dive into Kenosis and how we empty ourselves
