Yes, I've done this very route myself a few times. If you ever wondered why they call it MCI rather than something more obvious like KCI, MCI stands for Mid-Continental International. IATA airport codes cannot begin with a K or W in the 48 states to prevent confusion with the call letters for radio and TV stations. But in Hawaii, you have KOA for Kona and WOW for Willow, Alaska. And outside the US, there's KHI for Karachi, Pakistan. And WAT for Waterford, Ireland. Anyhow, good views of Seattle coming in.
I love the Alaska Airlines content!! But we all know you make awesome content to. Loved this video! Keep up the good work! That was a pretty bumpy landing not gonna lie. My first time i flew Alaska Airlines (just a few weeks ago) i landed and it was pretty bumpy. I got the feeling that the plane was bouncing on the runway. But when we stopped getting that feeling of the plane bumping the feeling of the plane bouncing on the runway got removed. Just wanna mention again, amazing video!!! 👍👍👍
Hello my good friend Skylite! Just wanted to express that I enjoy watching planes take off and land since the mechanics are so fascinating. The entire flight also serves as a background for my studies. Also, I'm curious whether there will be any full-flight night flights. Best of luck to you and your channel, as always, and thank you for all of your hard work! Cheers!
Thanks my friend. I’m glad you enjoy the videos, and I appreciate you watching! Night flights are a tricky thing. I do have some night flights planned soon, but they’re hard to film. The problem has become 4K. With 4K, and the equipment that I use, the resolution becomes so high, that it’s very difficult for the camera to actually see, and focus on the small amount of light that is there. So what happens is the camera continually tries to auto focus, and starts a vicious cycle of focusing over and over. it’s something I’ve been trying really hard to solve, and have made some strides recently. I’ll put them to the test soon.
I was just reading about that. File this one under, what were they thinking. I mean, it appears as if it was "accidental" and no one was injured, but still. Firearm handling 101, always check the weapon first to make sure it's unloaded, and STILL.... ALWAYS assume the gun is loaded and ready to fire. Thank goodness no one was shot.
Sounds like a lot of people were onboard… are planes back to full seating now ? Also, did the pilot hesitate for a split second on taking off of the runway? Beautiful flight video, thank you for sharing!!✈️
Yeah, this was a full flight. In fact, most of my flights have been full for months now. I don't think I've even had an open seat next to me recently, let alone a full row to myself like I was getting regularly at the height of the Covid downturn. I'd say people have mostly given up, gotten over, or learned to live with Covid. However you want to say it. People are in the air again, and seem to be traveling pretty much everywhere, regardless of what local regulations may be in place when you arrive. I learned early on, that absolutely no one was enforcing any of the "mandates" or "regulations" once you arrived at a destination. For example, early on, Los Angeles had a mandatory 14 day quarantine, that was required for all arriving passengers. I saw hundreds of posts talking about how no one was checking that, or enforcing that. You could go to LA when that mandate was in place, and no one checked them, no one made them fill out the "mandatory" online form... In short, no one cared. So, I think people have seen that type of stuff, and with vaccination rates where they are, have basically said "we're done with this." I don't know any better way to explain what I see when traveling now, if that makes sense haha. As for the takeoff. No, I don't think they hesitated. I think they just rolled a bit longer before applying the power. Kansas City's runways are plenty long enough, so they probably just didn't give it the beans as fast as usual. Anyways, as always, thanks or watching my friend!
@@johndereck304 If only I were rich haha. You'd see a lot more on here if that were the case. I have a strict budget that I adhere too every month to keep this channel going without bankrupting myself in the process haha.
Alaska offers full service including first class and “premium” economy type offerings, so Alaska is more like Delta, United and American than Southwest. Thanks for watching!
It was a rough one. My camera always makes it look smoother than it actually was too, so when it actually looks rough on camera... You know it was haha.
@@sla31 Yeah, I know what you mean. Speaking of cameras, what type of camera do you use? I’m looking to upgrade my old one I’ve had for years for something better.
I currently film everything on the channel with iPhone 12 Pros. I’ll probably upgrade to the 13 Pro soon. It’s really amazing how good the cameras are in iPhones now.
@@sla31 Really? Hmm I’ll have to consider that. I’ve got an 8 now and I need to upgrade badly and I’m looking at the 12 or 13. Guess I should just kill two birds with one stone in that case 😉
I think this is a pretty typical flight time for this flight. I took this exact same route again, just a couple weeks later, and believe it or not, it was the exact same flight time.
I live 40 minutes from SEA-TAC and fly Alaska all the time, it’s good to see all the amazing flights that you are having from them
More from Alaska to come soon my friend! Thanks for watching!
Great video ! I’m from Sweden but l have landed at SEA-TAC several times and I love it. So beautiful surroundings. Thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching my friend!

Another fantastic flight video!! Thanks. This made my day here
I’m glad to hear that. Thanks for watching my friend.
Lovely flight again. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
LOVE MCI! My airline is the one and only gate 77. I must try Alaska soon!
MCI will be even better once they finish the brand new terminal. Thanks for watching my friend!
Awesome , Thanks Skylite

Hey @skyliteproductions you should do KMWD to KHOU or the other around
Well, I haven't done that flight, but Monday's upload is SAN-MDW. So, half what you're looking for haha.
LOL
Thanks
You should put in the current time
Great fly! Have you heard Atlanta (ATL) Airport was halting all flights caused by a passenger discharge a weapon?

This game is so realistic
So realistic that Real Life Sim 2021 haha.
What is the cruising altitude for this airplane when in midair?
that landing, I cringed as I watched that thing fifty-forty-thir-twe-te its way down, and then the BANG
nice video though lol
You're back in Seattle. The only thing now is that I live in Phoenix.
Well I'll be there soon too for a quick connection haha.

That’s funny I just saw an alaska SkyWest on flightradar24 landing in MCI from PDX lol
The take off and landing RWY numbers missing from the infos.
mustve been coming in heavy, flaps 40 and planted on markers
300:55 pilots are new hires from Ryanair
Great shit bro !!!

Anymore Hawaii flights or are you all done with those flights now!?!
There’s always more Hawaii flights on the way. You can count on that.
Hard landing!! lol
Seemed like a lot of creaking and cracking noise close to your seat/Wing. Sure didn't help the landing gerre with that very rough landing.
Is Alaska airlines like southwest or are they more expensive ?

Hope to see some more United sometime :)

@@sla31 No problem! I love sticking to skiing and aviation.
What is the speed of this airplane when it's at takeoff?
It depends on the specific type of plane and the weight and balance, but for most jets it’s typically around 150 mph.
@@sla31 And for this aircraft you are in, it looks like it goes to about 256mph, which is 2^8.
