What a beautiful quilt and how touching that you dedicated it to your friend. I get it, our childhood friend passed away at 43. We were a small group of 5 friends I met my 1st in kindergarten and we grew from there to 5. We still are 5 in our hearts, and we will always be 5 no matter where we are including heaven!❤🙏😎🙂🐶🐾🔔🎄👩🏻🎨❄️🇨🇦

Suz, I’m so sympathetic to the loss of your friend. My best friend of 35 years died in October 2020 (cancer, not COVID) and I still miss her terribly. She was 10 years younger than me, and it was such a shock. We don’t always realize how painful the loss of a dear friend is. We realize loss of a spouse, parent or child; but a friend seems somewhat removed. What’s so unexpected is the empty space that’s left. I wish you healing from your loss. But it will take time.

Sorry to hear the loss of your friend; I am going to my friend's funeral, tomorrow... the 3rd lady in my small quilt group, who now has passed away from Cancer. We started quilting in the year 2000, just a handful of gals from the church we were attending at the time...

Sorry for the loss of a friend.
SORRY you lost the comfort from your friend....... Do not have a rotating mat ... put a small mat on top of your main mat and just turn that around to do your cuttings.
