preminger is charismatic and dramatic, yes. i love his expressions! preminger is an ok villain as he is more of a straightforward and traditional villain than wenlock and rothbart who are both more complex. wenlock and rothbart's characters on the other hand have richer backstories. rothbart has a tragic villain origin story and his snarky remarks are unintentionally funny while wenlock combines his sassy attitude with regal bearing making him charming especially given the dark themes in his barbie movie challenge the typical barbie narrative.

This movie is the most wild in my opinion, like you have a genuinely evil guy who just abuses his wives and kidnaps girls and the love interest had a gambling problem like these are dark themes that no other Barbie movies tackles

As much I loved this movie as a kid, I still find it a little funny that the parents look exactly the same in the flashback as present day when Annika wasn’t even born yet😅 I wonder how long it was after that when they decided to have another child
The Queen must have been pregnant with Annika. Possibly she was even born but too young to remember. Thing is how did this girl make it to her mid/late teens without finding out she wasn't an only child?

The protagonist in this movie is a SAVAGE. She’s fabulous. Very Elizabeth Bennet from ‘Pride and Prejudice’.

yeahh mine was the 3d movie but i did watch it as much as other barbie movies because of the fact that i had to use the glasses. rewatching when i was older, i was surprised how much i remembered since i felt like i rarely ever played it.

this move is absolutely insane. first off barbie has a kleptomaniac polar bear who loves anything shiny… her sister was turned into a horse who flies by an evil wizard who later petrified her parents..then tries to marry her when he already has 3 wives..and the ken has a gambling addiction???

if you liked Rothbart (sp?) so much you would probably enjoy Barbie Princess and the Pauper- the villain in that movie tends to be Barbie movie fans' favorite Barbie villain

I think the best barbie villain is HANDS DOWN Preminger. He doesn't give the same mansplain energy as this villain or Rothbar but he's got this sassy twink energy that is unrivaled (and he gets to sing a villain song)
I honestly love the male leads for the older barbie movies (like diamond castle and this movie) cuz they actually had interesting personalities

So this was the first movie my best friend and I watched together back in kindergarten. Also, did you know they did bloopers for this movie? Fully animated bloopers. They are my favourite part of this movie.

After watching this movie I used to always practice ice skating on the tile floor in my family’s house. Always wanted to learn how to ice skate but to scared I’ll get hurt. Love when you two do reactions together especially the Barbie reactions. Y’all always got me laughing! Hope you guys will do more collabs! Edit: I just remembered this. The DVD of this film came with paper 3d glasses. Some season were rendered in 3d, like the ogre/giant scene for example.
That was a weird experience😅

Idk what happened but my recommendations stopped recommending Welchy video’s to me for the past month and I didn’t think of them myself.. Anyway I really missed them and I’m glad I am back!!
