- This past weekend we took a trip to the Shipshewana card show. This show is run by our friends over at @bee_sports on Instagram. They do a FANTASTIC job with this show! We were able to buy tons of cool stuff ranging from football, basketball, and baseball, to F1, and soccer. Including the largest sports card, I've ever purchased (a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle SGC 2.5). Day 2 was FULL of cool purchases including a gold kaboom, dual 1/1s, and $7,000+ deals. The pickups video from Shipshewana will drop soon, so stay tuned for that! I love the strategy of when your about to close a deal you toss in a card at a fat discount or even free and it convinces the vendor to sell, I've started doing that myself and it works almost every time. Learning from the best right here.
Typically it’s something proportionate with the discount in after. Like 1-3% of total sale price type thing. But especially if it’s junk, just helps recoup costs faster.

Everyone should take note of that deal at 5:00. Great negotiation and work. This applies to all deals, not just in cards.
