That discourse usually ends with people having to speak generally about plot premises, like for example, how many times have we heard someone say the concept behind the shadow dragon arc is cool but boring? I think this dissection has really succeeded in going deeper, highlighting all the little cool/ inspired decisions and just how much it either succeeds or fumbles. It highlights that "good ideas but bad execution" is a thing GT often struggles with, and why we want to like it so bad
I really like how MF takes every episode both on its own merits as well as how it contributes to the ongoing narrative. Like you said, it paints a far more detailed picture than “damn, the baby arc woulda been cool but they fucked it up”
GT always had that sense of finality to it. Everyone was old. Piccolo died permanently. Mr. Buu died permanently. The series ends with Pan being 100 years old and everybody we knew being completely gone. It was just the end of the characters we followed since Dragonball and onwards.

Piccolo being able to survive bleeding out for almost 2 or so months in time to give a noble sacrifice truly was a Christmas miracle. Still better than that half-assed sacrifice the Resurrection F retelling in DBS did.
I can't get over Piccolo jumping in front of a beam to save Gohan, as if setting up an arc for Gohan... only for him to go right back to doing the exact same thing. I wish Dragon Ball could just decide if it wants to actually have Gohan be a scholar or both a scholar and a fighter. This constant rigamarole of Gohan needing to relearn the same lesson is just old.
Why was he bleeding out for 2 months when he can regenerate?! Where was he throughout this whole arc after Gohan blasted him and Goten (who was inexplicably okay at the house after)?! Did he avoid Baby taking him over? This makes no sense!
The Cell Saga is so fun because of how many curve balls it throws at you. Wrong Androids. Androids are teens. A Time Traveling Bug Man. The story is a mess, but you're never once bored of the surprises.

Binge watching DBD was one of the best media experiences in my life. I love Dragon Ball and I love manga specifically, so that, paired with Lance's meticulous analyses, was just so fucking good! And I'm so glad he will keep going. I hope that he likes covering all Dragon Ball, would love see him covering Super!
7:40 *ahem*, actually, he has a cameo a bit earlier, when he gets disturbed by Baby arriving on Earth. That totally makes the scene 100 times better and justifies his death!

Congrats and thank you for another successful DBDDecember! You’ve made it! My favorite part about this arc’s ending is that it is so rushed that they never bring up Planet Tsufuru again. They never wish it away, or destroy it, or even show it in the background. For all we know the entire planet is still just…there. Potentially there for future arcs to take advantage of but quickly forgotten.
I actually stopped reading super during the Granolah ark, and I've never looked back. The instant they brought Bardock back as this child loving superhero that was integral to the story, it was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. And I hope next year is better for your creative mind! I appreciate all you do, and hope you'll take all the time you need.

Porunga having been able to undue the destruction caused by the black star balls the WHOLE TIME kinda takes some of the bite out of the whole arc, doesn't it?
It does raise the question of why the other Dragon Balls can't be used to counter the Black Star Dragon Balls' effects. They can't wish them back to their resting spot or, barring that, at least back to Earth?
That's exactly the point Lance makes, it feels really good to see the characters trying to SAVE people instead of "just let them die, we can wish them back".
It’s also unnecessary since they had planet plant, humanity could’ve rebuilt on that planet and renamed it new earth or something like that, kinda like new namek. Would’ve given the earth’s destruction more weight and would’ve emphasised the destructive power of the Black Star Dragonballs.
Hey Lance, as someone who has been following this channel since DBD Red Ribbon Arc, I just want to say what a blessing your videos are. It hurts me to know you are having a hard time on YT. I was introduced to you through your Original Power Ranger videos and that caused me to finally watch Sentai and become a fan of that franchise. I always felt that Dragon Ball content was lacking depth on YT and we never got any deeper analysis on the franchise than "Good ideas, bad execution etc." I always look forward to your videos and have a smile whenever they pop up on my feed. You have introduced me to so many new ways of thinking and viewing the media I enjoy. Getting into Sentai from your original Zyuranger videos, finally reading the Diary of Anne Frank after your incredible video, watching Sunset Boulevard for the first time (and I loved it) among other things. Ill even watch videos on topics I don't care about because I know YOU made them (Final Fantasy Memories, Super Mario RPG etc). You always have something interesting to say and I do think what you do has merit. The writing in your videos is always top notch and you always bring your own unique flavor to your content that I really enjoy. DK Dissection was incredible, MM Zyurangers was a fun little exercise, YOU DONT MISS! I was one of your first Patrons (we even had 2 breakfast/lunches?) because I loved what you did and I still do. There is no one else like you on this platform. Your Dragon Ball content spoke to a very specific type of fan that is hard to find in the states. I could never talk to my friends about the franchise because what we talked about were essentially 2 completely different shows and 2 completely different ideas about what DB should be. With your videos I felt a kindred spirit and my gratitude for this type of content will never cease. I hope 2024 is a better year for you. I know its tough trying to balance doing what you love and having please the TH-cam algorithm. I understand the frustration of creating something that you are really passionate and proud of, like the Anne Frank video and having it underperform. But what you are creating is WORTH creating and I hope you never forget that.

I'm a type of guy who usually doesn't comment on videos, even if I really like them and find them unique. You can say I'm just a lazy bum. But this time I really want to applaud you for your work on Dragon Ball Dissection (and other series as well (I'm a big fan of the Mighty Morphin Zyurangers), but DBD in particular). Your dissection of GT is definitely my favourite series of yours and should be a mandatory watch for all Dragon Ball fans who think that GT is either the worst thing ever or who don't give it a shot, because they were told it's bad. I won't hide that I myself enjoyed GT a lot and was able to overlook many of its mistakes. However, I think it typically doesn't deserve as much criticism as it gets. It's certainly far from perfect, but it's definitely not the worst that the franchise has to offer, far from that, actually. In my eyes, you're probably the only person who managed to critically analyze the series, both with its strengths and flaws alike. I was a little cautious at first, because for some reason a lot of media critics who I'd say did a good job with analyzing the previous two installments suddenly changed the narrative when it comes to GT and lost some credence in my eyes. You on the other hand retained the top-tier quality of your series and gave GT a chance it deserved. I must say that I'm looking forward to the next episodes, since I consider the Super 17 Arc to be one of the worst that not only GT but DB as a whole has to offer, so I'm curious what you'll think about it. Also, 2:26-2:46 had me rolling with laughter!
Super 17 really is the moment GT lost me. I enjoyed the Baby arc a lot, and I enjoyed the Evil Dragons arc enough, but after watching the Super 17 arc, even as a teenager, the series had already lost a lot of my good faith in it, and now I just wanted to get it over with.
This dissection has only made me appreciate this arc and GT as a whole alot more when looking at where the franchise would go from here. We’re at the point where Dragon Ball is a complete parody of itself and not in a Ginyu Force ironic way, in a “Let’s bring Freezq back! Let’s bring Cell back! Let’s bring Broly back! Let’s rehash Bardock!” type of way

Even though I disagreed with a few things throughout your analysis of the Baby Arc, this is probably the most nuanced take I've seen of GT as a whole, as opposed to just narrowing it down to the "Good idea, bad execution" line many other people say. You also made me realize how much I loved Baby as a villain, as inconsistent as he was. It may just be me being tired of TFS (mostly Kaiser really) making potshots and honestly unfairly bullying the series for things they excuse and forgive Super for (Never will forget how their last DB Cember they put the Tournament of Power over the Hunt for the DB arc lol), so to see someone actually explaining how there's more then the general perception of GT, both good and bad, in one more part then the Cell Arc videos makes me glad someone gave it a better chance then others. And welcome to the New Year! Hope it's just as productive (and less exhausting) as the last one!
Piccolo's death in GT is done really well from a technical standpoint. It's got amazing soundtrack, voice acting and animation (that scene of him standing in the middle of flames and Gohan breaking down crying looks so good). But narratively speaking, it really makes no sense lol. Great job with this year's DBCember, take care of yourself and have a break if you need to. Your videos are some of my favorites in this site, always so full of charm and well researched. If you need to take some time to make them, I won't mind waiting. Have a good new years!
KabitoKai doing the Goku fingers instant transmission thing to teleport while around people who know Goku and know that as their frame of reference for how teleportation works strikes me as an in character thing he would do just for the sake of adding a bit of flair even though it isn't actually necessary. And really it seems like it shouldn't be necessary for Goku either. It seems like he only does it because it helps him focus enough to lock onto a specific energy signature. That's why he couldn't teleport to New Namek until he actually knew where it was and even after being told still took a little while to track down the Namekians energy. Presumably it's more of a quirk of muscle memory like Ringo Roadagain turning back his wrist watch from JoJo. Or yaknow. Toei animators screwed up.
GT really put the nail in the coffin for Piccolo like this is actually when he falls off until superhero. The buu arc made the coffin, but GT set up and started the funeral His literal first appearance in the series is him showing up randomly just to get blasted by baby possess gohan. To add salt to the wound, baby even comments that Piccolo was pathetic. Then he doesn’t appear for almost the rest of the entire arc only to randomly pull up at the end to just die to get rid of the Blackstar balls, even though they’re going to make earth where logically shouldn’t be connected to those balls. The disrespect is crazy like I actually think the writers had something against Piccolo. It even gets worse in 17 where he’s literally forced to be in hell because Goku‘s instant transmission was bugging like that’s how his story ends, he’s trapped in hell for the rest of eternity, and he didn’t even do anything.
It really sucks that they didn't have Piccolo in the story... at all! Then all of a sudden throw him in to die. I love his character and him sacrificing himself could have made for a powerful moment... if he was properly worked into the story which he wasn't so it feels so shoehorned in.
I mean them getting rid of Piccolo completely in GT was honestly the best move, I mean he hasn't been relevant power wise since the Cell Saga and Akira went out his way to hurry Piccolo, Toei just finished the job because Piccolo can't really do anything. Super might still have Piccolo around but Super actually disrespectful Piccolo more so using him as a meat shield for Gohan he just recently earned a transformation in a movie but gets buried in it just for Gohan to transform. Piccolo character redemption arc all happened in the Sayian Arc really by spending time with Kid Gohan.
I guess when hearing about you talking about the good parts of the cell arc, it made me realise its easy to forget that stories like this can have pretty bad flaws but still be very good. When i'm typing this it seems like something fairly obvious but it really wasn't in my head before actually thinking about it in particular.
You're by far my favorite Dragon Ball content creator. You're also super charismatic: I wish you had another channel where you'd just turn your camera on and talk about things you like, no script or anything. I'd watch that every week.
I somehow never put together that Piccolo's bleeding was caused by Gohan's Kamehameha. I think that even when I was watching fansubs at 8 years old I must have found that idea absurd.
Honestly, out of all of the DBD December years 2023 I would say is my most favorite out of all the others. It's the only year I can think of where the story isn't interrupted by a movie, specials, or talking about a particular subject for too long. And unlike the other years, this is one where it actually concludes the arc in the final video as opposed to ending it somewhere in the middle so it was really satisfying to have a DBD December year where it covers the climax of the arc up until it's proper conclusion. And your thoughts on the Baby arc lined up with my reaction upon watching it for the first time back in late 2017, In how like the Cell arc it was always changing, and very rarely did I feel bored from watching it unlike with Super's which usually have their arcs start with a long expedition dump before then launching us to a long fight with rarely any break from the action. and whenever it did get a break it's then followed up by another expedition dump before returning back to the long dragged-out fighting. And while GT didn't always succeed in some areas I was still kept mostly intrigued especially here in this arc. Anyway I hope you'll do well Lance for 2024 and I'll always make sure to stay subscribe and watch more of your videos in the upcoming future.
Really excited for what you will dissect after GT. To be honest I am really not a fan of then show but I still watch your videos on it. I would really love for you to continue with the Donkey Kong Dissection, or Avatar TLA, Star Wars or even something entirely different.

The Baby arc really is ambitious, I can’t help but love what it tries to do. No matter how much it falls on its face it gets right back up and promises to do something better next time, and it is able to deliver on that promise every so often. Thanks again for your taking your shake at it. I love your nuanced dissection of the arc, and I’m glad to hear you think Baby’s one of the best villains in Dragon Ball. It's interesting how the basis of this arc was already established in a filler flashback to the tuffles by King Kai and later with the plan to eradicate the sayains game ova, it's rare to have filler lore get expanded upon, Icarus the dragon appearing once in the anime is another example.

I still enjoy Bebi. Despite his hypocrisy, he had the best drive for a villain, showing saiyans past transactions still drive characters to hate. Hopefully he'll get revisited in future Dragon Ball material.

As the president of the Dola Fan Club, I am appalled at the comments made here. Dora is a unique and highly nuanced character who is horrendously underutilized in this anime. Dota even has more blonde hair than Pan, so that makes him the better child character. In short, Donkey deserves far more respect than I’ve seen him get in recent time. Dopey and his dog, Five, are some of the best characters I’ve seen since the farmer with a shotgun and the woman and child who were being chased by Cell in an airport. Good day!
I always see the weekly teasers before a DBD episode coming out, and every time, without fail, because my memory span probably doesn't last more than a few days, I always forget about it coming and I'm always pleasantly surprised when I see it on my notifications when I wake up, or shortly after, on a Monday morning. Ever since I was a child I always thought that Pan and Jade from Jackie Chan Adventures are basically the same character. I still think that, but I now believe that Jade is the one done better.
I can hear that Gohan scream from the thumbnail image, based on the handful of dubs of that scene that I watched. And the off-model sad Dende screenshot needs to become a channel staple.
The “good ideas, bad execution” talking point seems to be almost exclusively used by fans when talking about the final arc. You’ve done a really great job of applying it to the Baby arc in great detail. This is probably the most detailed analysis I’ve ever seen of anything regarding Dragon Ball GT.

9:52 this doesn't surprise me at all. Funimation had this arc as the Trunks saga, Android Saga, Imperfect Cell saga, Perfect Cell saga and Cell Games saga. It makes sense you would like this as you have it as one arc.

I never considered that Piccolo’s wound was from the Kamehameha 😯 I thought it was just that he was dying with the earth about to explode (though now I see it wouldn’t make much sense as to why it would be a stomach wound!). There is a reason why baby is more interesting than cell, cell got what he wanted and didnt knew what to do or ddint behave like the character we followed up to that point, therefore the audience no longer cares for him, baby got what he wanted and still had an agenda and didnt lose what made interesting, not to mention building a fake paradise with everything goku had ever build over his journey rubs the salt on the wound harder than some tournament.
I'm glad they made the decision to delay Sparking Zero so they have the chance to flesh out Dola's moveset, there's a character that really needs the care and attention he's been denied in previous Dragon Ball games.

My favorite part about this arc’s ending is that it is so rushed that they never bring up Planet Tsufuru again. They never wish it away, or destroy it, or even show it in the background.
For all we know the entire planet is still just…there. Potentially there for future arcs to take advantage of but quickly forgotten.

I actually stopped reading super during the Granolah ark, and I've never looked back. The instant they brought Bardock back as this child loving superhero that was integral to the story, it was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

It does raise the question of why the other Dragon Balls can't be used to counter the Black Star Dragon Balls' effects. They can't wish them back to their resting spot or, barring that, at least back to Earth?
That's exactly the point Lance makes, it feels really good to see the characters trying to SAVE people instead of "just let them die, we can wish them back".
It’s also unnecessary since they had planet plant, humanity could’ve rebuilt on that planet and renamed it new earth or something like that, kinda like new namek. Would’ve given the earth’s destruction more weight and would’ve emphasised the destructive power of the Black Star Dragonballs.

Hey Lance, as someone who has been following this channel since DBD Red Ribbon Arc, I just want to say what a blessing your videos are. It hurts me to know you are having a hard time on YT. I was introduced to you through your Original Power Ranger videos and that caused me to finally watch Sentai and become a fan of that franchise. I always felt that Dragon Ball content was lacking depth on YT and we never got any deeper analysis on the franchise than "Good ideas, bad execution etc." I always look forward to your videos and have a smile whenever they pop up on my feed. You have introduced me to so many new ways of thinking and viewing the media I enjoy. Getting into Sentai from your original Zyuranger videos, finally reading the Diary of Anne Frank after your incredible video, watching Sunset Boulevard for the first time (and I loved it) among other things. Ill even watch videos on topics I don't care about because I know YOU made them (Final Fantasy Memories, Super Mario RPG etc). You always have something interesting to say and I do think what you do has merit. The writing in your videos is always top notch and you always bring your own unique flavor to your content that I really enjoy. DK Dissection was incredible, MM Zyurangers was a fun little exercise, YOU DONT MISS! I was one of your first Patrons (we even had 2 breakfast/lunches?) because I loved what you did and I still do. There is no one else like you on this platform. Your Dragon Ball content spoke to a very specific type of fan that is hard to find in the states. I could never talk to my friends about the franchise because what we talked about were essentially 2 completely different shows and 2 completely different ideas about what DB should be. With your videos I felt a kindred spirit and my gratitude for this type of content will never cease. I hope 2024 is a better year for you. I know its tough trying to balance doing what you love and having please the TH-cam algorithm. I understand the frustration of creating something that you are really passionate and proud of, like the Anne Frank video and having it underperform. But what you are creating is WORTH creating and I hope you never forget that.

I'm a type of guy who usually doesn't comment on videos, even if I really like them and find them unique. You can say I'm just a lazy bum. But this time I really want to applaud you for your work on Dragon Ball Dissection (and other series as well (I'm a big fan of the Mighty Morphin Zyurangers), but DBD in particular). Your dissection of GT is definitely my favourite series of yours and should be a mandatory watch for all Dragon Ball fans who think that GT is either the worst thing ever or who don't give it a shot, because they were told it's bad.
I won't hide that I myself enjoyed GT a lot and was able to overlook many of its mistakes. However, I think it typically doesn't deserve as much criticism as it gets. It's certainly far from perfect, but it's definitely not the worst that the franchise has to offer, far from that, actually.
In my eyes, you're probably the only person who managed to critically analyze the series, both with its strengths and flaws alike. I was a little cautious at first, because for some reason a lot of media critics who I'd say did a good job with analyzing the previous two installments suddenly changed the narrative when it comes to GT and lost some credence in my eyes. You on the other hand retained the top-tier quality of your series and gave GT a chance it deserved.
I must say that I'm looking forward to the next episodes, since I consider the Super 17 Arc to be one of the worst that not only GT but DB as a whole has to offer, so I'm curious what you'll think about it.
Also, 2:26-2:46 had me rolling with laughter!
Super 17 really is the moment GT lost me. I enjoyed the Baby arc a lot, and I enjoyed the Evil Dragons arc enough, but after watching the Super 17 arc, even as a teenager, the series had already lost a lot of my good faith in it, and now I just wanted to get it over with.
I know we're only half way through GT but I can't wait to see your reviews of Super and eventually Daima.
This dissection has only made me appreciate this arc and GT as a whole alot more when looking at where the franchise would go from here. We’re at the point where Dragon Ball is a complete parody of itself and not in a Ginyu Force ironic way, in a “Let’s bring Freezq back! Let’s bring Cell back! Let’s bring Broly back! Let’s rehash Bardock!” type of way

Even though I disagreed with a few things throughout your analysis of the Baby Arc, this is probably the most nuanced take I've seen of GT as a whole, as opposed to just narrowing it down to the "Good idea, bad execution" line many other people say. You also made me realize how much I loved Baby as a villain, as inconsistent as he was. It may just be me being tired of TFS (mostly Kaiser really) making potshots and honestly unfairly bullying the series for things they excuse and forgive Super for (Never will forget how their last DB Cember they put the Tournament of Power over the Hunt for the DB arc lol), so to see someone actually explaining how there's more then the general perception of GT, both good and bad, in one more part then the Cell Arc videos makes me glad someone gave it a better chance then others.
And welcome to the New Year! Hope it's just as productive (and less exhausting) as the last one!

Piccolo's death in GT is done really well from a technical standpoint. It's got amazing soundtrack, voice acting and animation (that scene of him standing in the middle of flames and Gohan breaking down crying looks so good). But narratively speaking, it really makes no sense lol.
Great job with this year's DBCember, take care of yourself and have a break if you need to. Your videos are some of my favorites in this site, always so full of charm and well researched. If you need to take some time to make them, I won't mind waiting. Have a good new years!
KabitoKai doing the Goku fingers instant transmission thing to teleport while around people who know Goku and know that as their frame of reference for how teleportation works strikes me as an in character thing he would do just for the sake of adding a bit of flair even though it isn't actually necessary.
And really it seems like it shouldn't be necessary for Goku either. It seems like he only does it because it helps him focus enough to lock onto a specific energy signature. That's why he couldn't teleport to New Namek until he actually knew where it was and even after being told still took a little while to track down the Namekians energy. Presumably it's more of a quirk of muscle memory like Ringo Roadagain turning back his wrist watch from JoJo.
Or yaknow. Toei animators screwed up.
2023 is a struggling year for many content creators. But your efforts are appreciated nonetheless.

GT really put the nail in the coffin for Piccolo like this is actually when he falls off until superhero. The buu arc made the coffin, but GT set up and started the funeral
His literal first appearance in the series is him showing up randomly just to get blasted by baby possess gohan. To add salt to the wound, baby even comments that Piccolo was pathetic.
Then he doesn’t appear for almost the rest of the entire arc only to randomly pull up at the end to just die to get rid of the Blackstar balls, even though they’re going to make earth where logically shouldn’t be connected to those balls.
The disrespect is crazy like I actually think the writers had something against Piccolo. It even gets worse in 17 where he’s literally forced to be in hell because Goku‘s instant transmission was bugging like that’s how his story ends, he’s trapped in hell for the rest of eternity, and he didn’t even do anything.
GT really put the nail in the coffin to his character after the dissatisfaction he was in the Buu saga.
It really sucks that they didn't have Piccolo in the story... at all! Then all of a sudden throw him in to die. I love his character and him sacrificing himself could have made for a powerful moment... if he was properly worked into the story which he wasn't so it feels so shoehorned in.
Well at least he enjoyed being in hell more than in heaven because he could entertain himself but beating up bad guys
I mean them getting rid of Piccolo completely in GT was honestly the best move, I mean he hasn't been relevant power wise since the Cell Saga and Akira went out his way to hurry Piccolo, Toei just finished the job because Piccolo can't really do anything. Super might still have Piccolo around but Super actually disrespectful Piccolo more so using him as a meat shield for Gohan he just recently earned a transformation in a movie but gets buried in it just for Gohan to transform. Piccolo character redemption arc all happened in the Sayian Arc really by spending time with Kid Gohan.

I guess when hearing about you talking about the good parts of the cell arc, it made me realise its easy to forget that stories like this can have pretty bad flaws but still be very good. When i'm typing this it seems like something fairly obvious but it really wasn't in my head before actually thinking about it in particular.
You're by far my favorite Dragon Ball content creator. You're also super charismatic: I wish you had another channel where you'd just turn your camera on and talk about things you like, no script or anything. I'd watch that every week.

I somehow never put together that Piccolo's bleeding was caused by Gohan's Kamehameha. I think that even when I was watching fansubs at 8 years old I must have found that idea absurd.
I just assumed with all the chaos of the Earth destroying itself he got hit by some debris or something, not bothering to defend himself from it.

Honestly, out of all of the DBD December years 2023 I would say is my most favorite out of all the others.
It's the only year I can think of where the story isn't interrupted by a movie, specials, or talking about a particular subject for too long.
And unlike the other years, this is one where it actually concludes the arc in the final video as opposed to ending it somewhere in the middle so it was really satisfying to have a DBD December year where it covers the climax of the arc up until it's proper conclusion.
And your thoughts on the Baby arc lined up with my reaction upon watching it for the first time back in late 2017, In how like the Cell arc it was always changing, and very rarely did I feel bored from watching it unlike with Super's which usually have their arcs start with a long expedition dump before then launching us to a long fight with rarely any break from the action.
and whenever it did get a break it's then followed up by another expedition dump before returning back to the long dragged-out fighting.
And while GT didn't always succeed in some areas I was still kept mostly intrigued especially here in this arc.
Anyway I hope you'll do well Lance for 2024 and I'll always make sure to stay subscribe and watch more of your videos in the upcoming future.

The Baby arc really is ambitious, I can’t help but love what it tries to do. No matter how much it falls on its face it gets right back up and promises to do something better next time, and it is able to deliver on that promise every so often.

It's interesting how the basis of this arc was already established in a filler flashback to the tuffles by King Kai and later with the plan to eradicate the sayains game ova, it's rare to have filler lore get expanded upon, Icarus the dragon appearing once in the anime is another example.

I still enjoy Bebi. Despite his hypocrisy, he had the best drive for a villain, showing saiyans past transactions still drive characters to hate. Hopefully he'll get revisited in future Dragon Ball material.

As the president of the Dola Fan Club, I am appalled at the comments made here. Dora is a unique and highly nuanced character who is horrendously underutilized in this anime. Dota even has more blonde hair than Pan, so that makes him the better child character. In short, Donkey deserves far more respect than I’ve seen him get in recent time. Dopey and his dog, Five, are some of the best characters I’ve seen since the farmer with a shotgun and the woman and child who were being chased by Cell in an airport. Good day!
I always see the weekly teasers before a DBD episode coming out, and every time, without fail, because my memory span probably doesn't last more than a few days, I always forget about it coming and I'm always pleasantly surprised when I see it on my notifications when I wake up, or shortly after, on a Monday morning. A genuine question, does New Planet Tuffle/Tsufuru also have 10x gravity? Or is that not the case? If so… that’s gonna be rough for most of the humans, but I wouldn’t put it past GT to ignore that.

I never considered that Piccolo’s wound was from the Kamehameha 😯 I thought it was just that he was dying with the earth about to explode (though now I see it wouldn’t make much sense as to why it would be a stomach wound!).
Also, I think Piccolo just let go of Goku’s hand at the moment he teleported. That’s my take anyway!

There is a reason why baby is more interesting than cell, cell got what he wanted and didnt knew what to do or ddint behave like the character we followed up to that point, therefore the audience no longer cares for him, baby got what he wanted and still had an agenda and didnt lose what made interesting, not to mention building a fake paradise with everything goku had ever build over his journey rubs the salt on the wound harder than some tournament.
I'm glad they made the decision to delay Sparking Zero so they have the chance to flesh out Dola's moveset, there's a character that really needs the care and attention he's been denied in previous Dragon Ball games.
