I wish someone had told me before I got married that love is not a good reason to get married as Love will not keep your marriage.

    Please help me understand 🤗
If love is sacrificial giving for the benefit of the person you are loving, doesn't learning to speak their love laguage so that they feel loved fall into that sacrificial giving🤔

@@ginac1986 that’s a good question. You can’t love without giving, but you can give without loving. If you need to FEEL the love to know it’s real then a person is going to spend their life chasing “good feelings.” How we feel does play a huge part in the intimacy (connection) between us, but love isn’t driven by feelings. Love is sacrificial giving, but not all sacrificial giving comes from love. For example, someone who is obsessed with another person may sacrifice greatly for them, but it’s fueled by emotional instability (obsession) rather than love. Love is not for the purpose of making us FEEL good, but instead it is for the purpose of making sure we ARE good. Just like the Samaritan loved the man that was beaten and left in a ditch.

Where are you getting that definition of love?

@@eastsidepb8139 It’s more of a description than definition. But I get it from scripture.
