So cheerful in conditions and situations that would stress most people into looking ugly even if they normally weren't. ( 3:40 ) ( 5:18 ) That's probably also a requirement for succeeding at living any length of time in such a tiny space, especially with any other person, and a dog. That's one of the best things about some of the DIY stores - cut to size for a minimum or no charge! They started doing that as a carry-over from the old hardware stores where the did that as a help to those who didn't own tools or had the experience! Nicely done Mr Trent & Ms Allie! 🙌🏻

Trent, for your bench cushion that you find too thick, just have a thinner pad made up instead of making a whole lotta work for yourself adding to your floor or re-doing the bench etc. Also, for your spice rack, re-create it where you indicated on that blank section of wall beside the stove. You could possibly even make it wider. Another suggesstion for miscellaneous 'stuff', in to get hanging mesh bags that you can hang with suction cups or tacs, or 'commander' strips with the hooks. dollar stores are usually pretty good with stuff like that. I enjoy your travels and wonder if I would be as brave if I was your age, living in these times. Your endless patience and sense of adventure and your endless positivity are such admirable qualities. I sincerely love your videos and you two. You are an inspiration ... not just in vanning, but in simplicity, working together, fulfillment, ... so many things. It's an awesome reminder to really live life.
We have the same 12 volt fridge and we love ours. It was a good idea to upgrade yours to regulate the temps since the places you travel to are so hot. The only drawback is the freezer compartment is small. We can put a couple of packs of meat and maybe two or three packs of frozen veggies, and that’s it. The whole fridge will hold a weeks worth of food. That works for us, hopefully for you too.
Again you tackle another problem and maintain your positive outlook through the adversity. Just love it! I may try this lifestyle when all else fail...hope my van is as effecient. God bless.

Then a Couple years later the local paper wrote an article on how the mom and pop stores were sorely missed due to lack of knowledge and customer service they had VS the big box stores. You know.... you hear it everyday.
Endy, "... mom and pop stores were sorely missed..." All the customers who thought lower prices were all that mattered took the "knowledge and customer service" for granted and didn't miss their water 'til the well went dry. Now they are also coming to understand the "no free lunch" rule. There is a cost to exporting so much of our manufacturing capacity to other countries just to get the lowest unit price. I hope everyone is learning from what is going on and looking at more than just price tags from now on. Too late to help your dad, but at least he got to retire before all the looting and arson going on everywhere these days.
Great job (and the cameo appearance of Frank was nice too). I think my first step when removing the fridge would have been to remove the door. But...I've moved many, many heavy things during our frequent house moves so I have always removed doors, drawers, etc. to make something lighter (especially because the move always seemed to be up at least one flight of stairs, ha). Nice fridge.
Trent, please tell us you put something in to keep stuff from falling behind the fridge from the new shelf above the fridge. I thought I saw charge cables, and I figure they'd have a life expectancy of half a mile before they move to their new permanent home on the floor behind the fridge

The spice rack! I've got an idea….let the cover plate of the cooker tilt to the right, make a support under the piece of countertop and voila, you have extra work space when cooking! The disadvantage is that no one can sit at the moment you cook .... but well .... Trent is still peeling potatoes on the other side ;)

You should have put a pull out spice tray/rack where you put your laptops. Easy access. As my chef son says you should practice “mise en place”. Everything in its place. In other words: measure out all ur spices and prep your veggies BEFORE you start cooking.

Have you thought about relocating your fire extinguisher so that it's a) immediately accessable without opening the closet to get it in an emergency and b) not in the way of the clothes
