U guys are doing great job.. Could you also something on intune and solution which can be integrated in intune.. Hybrid ad autopilot via internet... Haven't seen good content in internet scenario
Nice stuff! You mentioned the software update scan being triggered among other things by new assignments reaching the client via Policy. I'm assuming you mean new software update assignments specifically, right? For another question, does this also apply to ADRs? I believe it's common for a lot of customers to have Endpoint Protection setup with a pretty tight scan schedule, like daily or even more frequent. So every time these ADRs run (and find new updates) and update the Software Update Group and hence the assignment, would that also trigger a Software Update Scan on the next Policy retrieval? That would explain an issue I've been seeing in our environment where clients would do Software Update Scans way more frequently than the schedule is actually set at.
@@PatchMyPC Thanks for replying! So Windows Defender definitions updating 3x a day when we don't even use Defender isn't such a great idea, huh? Who'd have thought ...
@@PatchMyPC Also our WSUS hasn't been cleaned up ever since the system was setup :-) But yeah, in most circumstances it wouldn't be a huge deal, but in our case we saw full scans being done at each of these intervals. Not sure about the cause of that, but each system scanning for 20-30 minutes 5x a day was a huge problem until I completely scrapped the old WSUS my predecessors installed and setup a new SUP.

Yeah, new ADR deployments for definitions would trigger a scan.

@@TheKyshu it's likely a delta scan, so it's probably not a huge deal
