I think Benedict's directive is a correct and masterful one. Accept both streams of worship in the Catholic church. Those who wish to attend the TLM celebrated in a church close to them let them do so. Those who want the post 1962 mass in english or their own native language let them attend that. I remember my priest saying four decades ago the language of the Roman church is Latin and mass and all hymns should be sung in Latin. Surely they are all Christians and the more people praying to God (in their own way) the better. In my view the prohibition of the TLM is completely unnecessary We don't need to create a problem where there isn't one!
