I cannot tell you how many times I dedicated this song to someone over the radio. Yep that was a “thing”. The 80’s were amazing.

They were the bullies in the first 2 "House Party" movies with Kid N Play! They sang the song "Ain't My Type of Hype" which was the song for the infamous dance battle in the first House Party.

I was 12 and did a weekend church camp, put in a room with a couple of 16 year olds. One of them I'm assuming broke up with her boyfriend and they literally played this song the entire weekend.

it wasnt Mariah Carey's song, she signed the group, Allure, to her lable and the remade this song with 112 and Mariah sings on the background, Also the man singing is a member of full force (you may recognize them as the bullies from the first two house party movies) they produced some of her songs but had their own songs too. check out "aint my type of hype" (its the song from the dance battle in house party 1)

Wasn't a big fan of the Allure / 112 cover. The way Full Force came in on their verses - Slim couldn't do that. He has a great voice but too soft for this song for me.
