This is my theory of what happend THEORY:so,like as seen in fnaf,cassidy died,but,maybe,she had a second life and had a second reality,where she became a guy,and she probably changed her personality because despite she would probably scare the people she would soon know,so she changed her apperence where she could be nervous and stuff,but in reality she is like vengeful and you know,all hate emotion despite of her old self and all,and when she become a demon slayer she probably did it because she knew she had the capability to do it,despite she fought a lot of stuff in the past,but pretended to be all scared of demons,and yea,cassidy could possibly have turn into a guy,or i have a secons theory SECOND THEORY:zenitsu could of possibly died,and zenitsu was recarnaited as cassidy(this would be the past cassidy though for now),and zenitsu as cassidy,had trust that he wouldn't die,that is,until you know who(aka william),leaded cassidy somewhere,where she..you know,died,and then zenitsu/cassidy had become golden freddy [THIS IS JUST A THEORY]
