I think what's going on is after all the other projects failed they activated the neurons of critical thinking and actually looked how buggy the trailer was. Clipping issues, horses sliding, floating doors, ecs.
And from that someone who can do something actually noticed that the game had no quality control like the rest of the releases, if the trailer was buggy then how buggy is the actual game? Tho at this point it'd prolly be cheaper to make the game from scratch than fix all the bugs. As the game is "finished".
Tho if the don't admit their faults and pretend it has no flaws then making the game from scratch again they'll just make all the same mistakes.
I think it is only partially DEI, it leads things to toxic positivity and being so tolerant that if someone makes a mistake they just accept it and put it into the game without objecting to them. I'm thinking incompetent people are already in the product development positions, so getting rid of DEI is too late. And I'd bet people with the DEI mentality are hired into dev positions and people who spoke up to critizise or had higher standards are long since fired. Tho they might not learn and just hire SBI competitors into the consultant positions and keep on making the same mistakes.
Tho I think the delay has nothing to do with DEI, directly. But rather the state of the game, if the trailers are anything to go by. Trailers were super buggy, so if anyone competent in a position of power looks at the game they'll find out that it's a product in a broken state.

Funny I recorded that video before the latest updates on Ubisoft statement about not having any agenda, other than the delay part. But at that time of recording, I was speculating that they are trying to hide some stuffs, and I also pointed that some TH-cam videos have made fun of the "issues" of the game just from the game trailer itself; for example characters movement, actions, interaction etc.
While it may be seemingly cheaper to make from scratch, they have gone too far in to re-do everything, and like I mentioned, they probably doing some last minute mistakes correction, other than re-doing the characters or story.
And while at that time before the CEO statement on no agenda, the statement, cancelling the demo on Tokyo game show, as well as delaying the release date, was somehow off for me, and that is the reason why I stated there is a possiblity of it, but after that statement, it seem like many are thinking as it may have something to do with it.
Interestingly, I did "gave an advice" on previous random chat that it would be best for them to delay the game release date, and it happened... wwwww
