- Nope, we still aren't done with the Frederick thumbnails; he's terrorizing every chapter... Anyway, this map is brutal. The current Lunatic LTC record by cargup in 68 turns does this map in 5 turns. I managed to bring it down to 4 turns, but this is definitely possible in normal growths as well (duh). 2 turns improved over growths runs so far (Chapters 4 and 5) and 2 lost due to lack of growths (Chapters 1 and 2) though I'm gonna end up losing multiple over the course of the run... if it's ever finished.
For this clear, it is imperative that the Wyvern Rider that attacks Sumia on turn 2 does not have Str+2, otherwise she gets OHKOed. It is also helpful for the myrms that get attacked by Sumia+Kellam do not have Avoid+10, making the clear more reliable.
Once again, there are multiple benchmarks to reach. Virion with a max might Iron Bow and Str Tonic is able to OHKO Wyvern Riders. Frederick with a +2 might Iron Sword, Str Tonic and Energy Drop is able to ORKO Wyvern Riders without help from Chrom. Also, that same forge together, when Chrom is wielding it, together with the Orsin's Hatchet wielded by Fred is able to ORKO myrmidons with a Dual Strike. Lon'qu with a Str Tonic can OHKO everyone in the west side of the map with a crit. Sumia with the Beast Killer (9 might for a D rank weapon is the same as an Iron Lance +4 might!) is able to ORKO myrms with a Dual Strike from Kellam with a Str Tonic and Iron Lance +1 might. Only a few characters can survive combat with the wyvern riders, who have 28 might without Str+2. These are Frederick, Chrom and Lon'qu who are unavailable, Sumia with a Kellam pair-up and Str Tonic, and weirdly enough Sully with a Bronze Sword and Def Tonic! She plays an essential part in this map by protecting Virion.
Some more comments regarding the chapter: Lon'qu sits at the fort to prevent a reinforcement on turn 3. The dark mage has terrible hit on him when he's sitting on the fort. Frederick never has the chance to sit on a fort in the chapter but, I use a Levin Sword after breaking the Orsin's Hatchet to maximize his survival chance and get some chip damage on the boss so I can kill him next turn. With B and then A rank in swords during the chapter, Frederick is almost invincible when fighting wyverns in the chapter. Chrom's Falchion Dual Strikes is essential in getting enough damage to kill the boss, since it has 15 effective might on him.
Note: I record the convoy after I do the clear itself. There may be minor inconsistencies (like a unit not having a certain weapon in inventory equipped) but please pay that no mind.

It's really interesting that this is so close to the strategy that I normally use on a standard Lunatic or Lunatic+ playthrough, but you're doing it with 0% Growths and being more aggressive. I guess having a few extra stat points here or there really doesn't change things all that much, especially when Pair Up and Forges can be used to make up the difference.
(Normally I have Lon'Qu pair up with Sully and kill the Mage on the left side first, that way he kills all of the other units on enemy phase with counter attacks. But if the goal is to clear the map as fast as possible I can see the value in making every other unit aside from Lon'Qu go to the north to clear things faster)
Shit's gonna hit the fan after Chapter 9 though.
@@Chiki Honestly it's already pretty crazy. I wouldn't attempt any of these strategies unless I knew for sure my characters were going to dodge, crit, land every dual strike, etc. etc.
People who have the patience to reset over and over for the perfect RNG to get a low turn clear are a different kind of monster than myself 😅
@@oEllery I don't actually reset much--this was probably my first or second try after getting that first ~30% crit with Lon'qu. But I do test out optimal movements with save states :)
