    Suggestion for next year's bumper, if everyone is at one location (mainly Jon & Emile): cardboard Jon is there and it does the Barney the Dinosaur thing where it transforms into the real Jon. Emile runs and hugs him and says "hey did you shorter since last year?"

    • @TheZebbga
      @TheZebbga 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Or Emile doesn't belive the real Jon is actually Jon and thinks the cardboard version is the true one.

    "Just make it big" Considering the contents of Jon's streams and Twitter this is ALL TOO FITTING.
    In regards of the overhead bed shots, who needs a camera crane when you have a Stephen Georg. Basically a crane himself.

    @IAmMissingnoMaster 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Y'know, these guys should, if at all feasible, make a whole feature-length movie together. Got just the title for it, too- Calibrary Cuff Paula Dean & The Metropolitan Mutant Of Ark.

    • @IAmMissingnoMaster
      @IAmMissingnoMaster 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The protagonist- Steve Ramilo, a trooper employed by the mysterious Shutlipperz Corporation, dedicated to keeping the world's most insane secrets under wraps.
      Our antagonist- Mr. Filth, an eccentric yet brilliant scientific mind ousted from the Shutlipperz Corporation many years ago for proposing that the secrets just be made public knowledge. Bitter over this rejection, he is determined to ensure said secrets come to light. Deliberately misusing a time transporter, he creates a huge, hideous, and extremely dangerous beast, an amalgam of Noah's Ark and all the animals aboard, which he intends to set loose on the bustling metropolis of Placeholder Name- the Metropolitan Mutant of Ark!
      Steve, as Shutlipperz's top trooper, is tasked with stopping Mr. Filth's heinous plot, not only before he destroys the city, but before his actions destroy the entire world, for bringing Noah's Ark forward in time like that naturally has calamitous effects on the timeline, putting them all on quite the time crunch. Their only hope is the secret weapon the corporation keeps for such emergencies- the Shutlipperz Ulerator. However, centuries of disuse have left it in dire need of calibration. After consulting with Shutlipperz's crack team of wise men, a trio of extremely buff men who seem to know absolutely everything about anything, a trio known only as the molded gurus, he learns that only the Calibrary Cuff can calibrate the Shutlipperz Ulerator, and that he must seek out celebrity chef Paula Deen. Steve seeks her out, and falls in love at first sight. Paula knows of the cuff, but not where it is. And so they follow hints left by her ancestors, and when they hit a brick wall, they are approached by none other than Mr. Filth's son, Lampert Filth, who prefers to be referred to as "Scare" Lampert. Scare Lampert is a master in the arcane magical arts required to make the Calibrary Cuff, but delivers the devastating news that it needs to be made out of Paula Deen. This is an issue as Steve and Paula are in love with each other by this point, but they agree to allow this anyway, to save the world. Scare Lampert transforms Paula Deen into the Calibrary Cuff. Steve uses the cuff to calibrate the Shutlipperz Ulerator. And the Ulerator reverses everything Mr. Filth did to the Metropolitan Mutant of Ark, turning it back into Noah's Ark and sending it back to its proper point in time. The timeline is saved. Mr. Filth approaches the heroes, stunned at the realization that what he did was truly going to end the world. Steve tells him that this is why these secrets must stay secret- in the wrong hands, they can be deadly. Mr. Filth finally understands, and asks if he can work for Shutlipperz once again, not to try to expose the world's secrets, but to help keep them safe, and to atone for his misdeeds. Steve says that that's for the higher-ups to decide, but that he'd put in a good word with them. Then, Scare tells Steve that as a bit of a thank-you for saving the world and reuiniting an estranged father and son, he'll turn the Calibrary Cuff back into Paula Deen. He does so, Steve and Paula embrace, and the four of them all head off to a local bar, Clowney Siderilks, to drink some Mossy Turkey Turners together. Roll credits.

  • @TheViolaBuddy

    I feel like the bumpers show that you're a really strong actor, in addition to being good at the behind-the-camera work. You can emote and manage your facial expressions and all that sort of thing really well. I guess you get some practice doing a similar sort of thing from doing livestreaming on a regular basis, not to mention the vlogs that you get to see yourself emote in when you edit.
    Anyway, bumpers are one of the best parts, and behind-the-scenes things are always really interesting, so I'm glad there's almost a full hour of it this year. Looking forward now to next year's bumpers!

    23:35 OHHHH, he was running up a flight of STAIRS!? At that angle, and with that type of small rug, I thought that was being shot in a bathroom and he was in the middle of pooping. And that he just jumped off the toilet and stuck his head out past the wall, and that the wall was censoring the rest of his body, since he was still in the middle of.... ya know.... pooping.... Thinking about it a bit more, I don't think there would've been enough room behind that wall for him to be on the floor like that if a toilet was there.... Unless he's REALLY flexible..... Still a brilliant bumper, all the same! All of them are! Amazing job to everyone involved!

It's also probably just as well the cardboard-Jon bumper went as it did, because throwing up - likely even fake instances too I'd imagine - can get you banned from Twitch. This is gonna get buried at the bottom because other comments will get the likes, but how do you properly raise the brightness/contrast for scenes like the arcade? Whenever I try to adjust those settings in my videos the brights get too bright or the whole thing gets washed out.

    • @stephenvlog
      @stephenvlog  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Shooting in 10-bit log is helpful because there’s more data there (and ensuring you’re not clipping highlights when shooting), but otherwise you need to carefully lift the shadows. You can’t adjust exposure globally, you need to target the dark parts and bring those up independently. For something like the arcade it’s a bit like a reverse S curve.
