I saw Jinjer play live at a festival. It started raining during the set and Tati says to the audience "are you made of sugar, or are you made of metal"!? The crowd screams "METAL" and the skys open up with a downpour. They played in the rain until the lightning and the organizers had to delay the show. Tati was obviously bothered by the delay in rocking out and not 2 minutes later the rain stops. Tatiana is a Goddess of the Rains. The band is metal AF, but this track's half Jazz. The great thing about metal is there's more sub-genres of metal than all other genres of music put together. There are so many mind blowing artists out there, you're in for an amazing ride. I have 2 suggestions. If you want to blow up your viewer and subscriber count also check out Nightwish - Ghost Love Score , it's "symphonic metal", you like Opera right? Algorithm LOVES that song. And if you want to see an amazing mix of like 6 genres that'll make you shake your booty check out Kontrust - Sock 'N' Doll , amazing band and such a fun sound.
ive been following Jinjer for quite a long time. it was amazing to see them grow. to see them live in small venues. and then see them get signed and explode. welcome to the Jinjer family.
As a singer yourself, I think you would appreciate this One take video. The Official Live and Music videos are amazing too, but this new one would let you focus on what her technique is.
Oh yeah this one you will really love the vibe of the whole song. The way it's filmed you can clearly see how her growling techniques are healthy. Tati is one bad ass singer.

There's a reaction channel called Bowzers Reaction Pit. And the guy that runs it is just absolutely one of those toxic people in the metal community. He hates everything that gets requested. He never gives any new metal or metalcore a chance. At this point I don't even know why he does reactions. You know how you can just tell what someone's personality is like without ever speaking to them? To me he just 100% comes across as an arrogant, opinionated and bias guy who can't be pleased with anything new. He's just in a constant state of disappointment and rudeness. So there is definitely a lot of toxic people in the metal community. Go see for yourself on his channel. You'll see what I'm talking about 👌

As I heard in an interview recently. He stressed their diverse tastes and influences (including the stylistic elements from jazz that you hear in this tune).

*Their name, the band is called Jinjer, and the genre if you so will too. Her name is Tatiana or short Tati, Roman on the guitar, Eugene on the bass and Vlad on the drums. They are from Ukraine, the three of them from the now occupied parts in the east, not entirely sure where exactly Vlad originally came from, but they had to flee their home town when the war came and basically where on tour since then. After Vlad joined they did a re-recording of Pisces (this exact video), which blew up and went viral on reaction channels, which helped greatly in regards to exposure, practically blowing up since then, and are now quite popular within the metal scene. I'll drop my go to live recommendations here: Perennial live at Wacken Who Is Gonna Be The One live On The Top live in Kiev Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev Judgement & Punishment live in Melbourne (there is actually an entire high quality full set of this fantastic show, but it is still unlisted so I don't want to spread that)

She pulls out her big bag of tricks for her performance in “Teacher Teacher” official video. I keep deleting the phrase “one of my favorites” cuz I haven’t heard a bad song from this band. Jinjer are very engaging because not only is Tati a remarkable vocalist but a stellar live performer and front person - AND the entire band are masterful musicians and play so tightly, as a unit. And all of their songs are interesting in just about every way.

Fun Fact: This song is from an album before the drummer here joined the band. Tatiana, Eugene and Roman liked Vlad's sound on it so they re-recorded a video for it to showcase his drumming. Now it's a reaction channel staple to introduce the band and everyone is blown away by Tati's vocals!
Loved the reaction, welcome to the world of Jinjer. There is a lot to watch, loads of live videos. My favorites are from a concert in Kiev, the songs are called On the Top and Pit of Conciousness. It would probably be wise not to start with the 2nd of those. Perennial live at Wacken Open Air is normally the next step on people's Jinjer journey though. Pick whichever, I am sure it will be great.

One thing I really like about this song (besides the obvious), is that it has some interesting metrics like 7/4, 3/4 and 6/8 but they transition from one to the other super smoothly. This band knows their shit when it comes to songwriting.

As I mentioned on your double reaction to Perennial live and Judgement & Punishment one take, I love that you are tasting Tatiana's beautiful vowels and enunciations with your own tongue. Very insightful reaction. Watching singers, musicians and coaches is so much more satisfying because they understand just how good the band is. I had thought myself immune to most modern music and settled down into a nice, sedate discography, mostly from the 70's era. Jinjer (and especially Tati) irrevocably changed all that.

Reactions to this video went crazy a while ago, lots of views, lots of shocked people and a whole lot of exposure for the band. You didn't look crazy at all, I was yelling in my house all by myself and I don't even have a cat! I replayed that over and over looking for something to indicate electronic enhancement, but found none. It is layered though, that is in the description on their video. There's a live concert video of Jinger doing "Teacher Teacher" that's very good and shows Tatiana's endurance because she is very physical during the song and holds her singing at a high level even though you would think she would be out of breath. I think she is very talented.

Wow, I just found this video and I have to say I just love your energy. I am so happy you liked Jinjer and Tati, because they are amazing. Others in the comments already recomended Nightwish and their song Ghost Love Score from Wacken, which I fully support. Also, if you want to check out some more badass metal ladies I suggest Unleash the Archers - Awakening (the live band playthrough), and Spiritbox - Rule of Nines, Blessed Be or Holy Roller if you're in the mood for something really heavy (Courtney's one take vocal performances are available on YT and will blow your mind).
JSetToKill Courtney LaPlante is good, but she doesn’t have the same level of control. Both are top tier amazing. But I still say when it comes to Growl and scream vocals, Tatiana is better in practice.

Love it when a new band enters the metal scene, though Tatiana and Eugene have said that they dont consider themselves a metal band.🙂🙂🤘🤘
Agreed. It's a fine line between pausing and commenting too much or too little. This is a really good balance, and you can sense the respect. It's a bit late for this lol but the only improvement I could see would be slightly rewinding for many of the pauses, to emphasize your points with a repeat of the musical phrase. That's a nitpick though. This is an outstanding reaction!

Fun reaction, and lots of respect for your knowledge of extreme vocals - subbed. Tatiana is amazing. I never liked growls from anyone, male or female until I heard her. I've seen Jinjer twice in concert and Tati is mesmerizing on stage as well. They guys are all masters of their respective instruments too. Somebody asked the band's manager and bassist Eugene what genre "umbrella" they are under - he answered "we don't like umbrellas, we prefer to get soaked" which is so appropriate. The other guys are Roman on guitar and Vlad on drums. There are a lot of great videos from them, one that was just released today is Tatiana doing a one-take recording of their song Judgement & Punishment which is really good and takes a couple of segues into a whole other style of music. Another that shows how low Tatiana can take her growls is Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev. Perennial at Wacken Open Air has some beautiful cleans too.

One thing I really like about this song (besides the obvious), is that it has some interesting metrics like 7/4, 3/4 and 6/8 but they transition from one to the other super smoothly. This band knows their shit when it comes to songwriting.

As I mentioned on your double reaction to Perennial live and Judgement & Punishment one take, I love that you are tasting Tatiana's beautiful vowels and enunciations with your own tongue. I had thought myself immune to most modern music and settled down into a nice, sedate discography, mostly from the 70's era. Jinjer (and especially Tati) irrevocably changed all that.

Reactions to this video went crazy a while ago, lots of views, lots of shocked people and a whole lot of exposure for the band. You didn't look crazy at all, I was yelling in my house all by myself and I don't even have a cat! I replayed that over and over looking for something to indicate electronic enhancement, but found none. It is layered though, that is in the description on their video. There's a live concert video of Jinger doing "Teacher Teacher" that's very good and shows Tatiana's endurance because she is very physical during the song and holds her singing at a high level even though you would think she would be out of breath. I think she is very talented.

Wow, I just found this video and I have to say I just love your energy. I am so happy you liked Jinjer and Tati, because they are amazing. Others in the comments already recomended Nightwish and their song Ghost Love Score from Wacken, which I fully support. Also, if you want to check out some more badass metal ladies I suggest Unleash the Archers - Awakening (the live band playthrough), and Spiritbox - Rule of Nines, Blessed Be or Holy Roller if you're in the mood for something really heavy (Courtney's one take vocal performances are available on YT and will blow your mind).

JSetToKill Courtney LaPlante is good, but she doesn’t have the same level of control. Both are top tier amazing. But I still say when it comes to Growl and scream vocals, Tatiana is better in practice.

You definately need to check out «Teacher Teacher», my personal favourite, she really shows her amazing vocal range, and the rest of the band is just sooo badass!! I had probably the same reaction as you when a friend of me sent me the link to «Pisces» and just casually told me to check it out. That was last August, now I’m hooked. Love it when a new band enters the metal scene, though Tatiana and Eugene have said that they dont consider themselves a metal band.🙂🙂🤘🤘

Agreed. It's a fine line between pausing and commenting too much or too little. This is a really good balance, and you can sense the respect. It's a bit late for this lol but the only improvement I could see would be slightly rewinding for many of the pauses, to emphasize your points with a repeat of the musical phrase. That's a nitpick though. This is an outstanding reaction!
Teacher, Teacher is the best track to see all the in betweens. But this track shows you the edges of her voice.

Pisces is the two fish (duality). One being brings life another runs for death. The changing of the vocals from soft and light to hard and dark.
Fun reaction, and lots of respect for your knowledge of extreme vocals - subbed. Tatiana is amazing. I never liked growls from anyone, male or female until I heard her. I've seen Jinjer twice in concert and Tati is mesmerizing on stage as well. They guys are all masters of their respective instruments too. Somebody asked the band's manager and bassist Eugene what genre "umbrella" they are under - he answered "we don't like umbrellas, we prefer to get soaked" which is so appropriate. The other guys are Roman on guitar and Vlad on drums.
There are a lot of great videos from them, one that was just released today is Tatiana doing a one-take recording of their song Judgement & Punishment which is really good and takes a couple of segues into a whole other style of music. Another that shows how low Tatiana can take her growls is Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev. Perennial at Wacken Open Air has some beautiful cleans too.

You get to see just how much of a diva she is in perennial live at wacken and I speak astronomy.
